Here's what I've got for the total cumulative fall stats, compiled from Scuba's boxscores (thanks!). I'm sure there could be an error or two but it still paints the picture.

I was going to make a post with this today sometime but didn't get around to it. I will just post it here in addition to your stats. Same as when I would post these last season, my formula for the WHIP includes HBP even though technically the stat is not supposed to. I like to do this to have a better understanding of runners allowed on base. So before people tell me its not technically correct, I know it is not.

I appreciate you doing this, and also for choosing the most appropriate stats to sort by.

I didn't realize WHIP didn't include HBP's. It should. As you said its more reflective of total performance.

BayTiger, did you not include the scrimmages against the other teams? Because Jump got hit around pretty good in the 1st half against McNeese according to the boxscore which is obviously not reflected in your stats. I just included all 15 scrimmages, both halves vs McNeese, both halves vs ULL, and both games of the Purple-Gold World Series.

And yeah, I include HBP in WHIP (and OBP). I find it dumb not to do so...

You are right. Looks like Scuba had to edit his original post for Jump's stats. I was wondering why mine was different for him.

I'm glad Braswell transferred to LSU, definitely filled the SS position.

Agreed. I was supposed to add the OPS formula into my spreadsheet for this year and never got around to it. Glad he had that stat figured.

I’m not saying anyone is getting processed but I do feel it’s interesting to note the guys with the most IPs. Almost like they are giving them every chance to perform.

And the guys with less, they kinda know what they already have.

Seems like it. Chances to prove themselves and also using them to get the lineup more live at bats without using the guys they already know will be counted on for big innings.

That is very RH heavy at the top of the lineup. I would imagine Jay would probably like to mix in a LH in there somewhere. My guess would be Bingham or Pearson in the 2 hole with the other in the 5 hole.

I am very impressed with Brown and pleasantly surprised with what he is doing at the plate, but I still give the edge to Frey right now in RF. Depending on how much they use Brown on the mound I guess. He didn't have the best fall on the mound but he was ranked as high out of high school because of his pitching ability. I would imagine if they plan to use Brown on the mound they might not have him out in RF. Maybe 1B/DH instead.

Plenty options and there is no correct answer at this point when it comes to the lineup or the rotation. Will be a fun beginning to the season to get looks at a lot of different guys and see who rises to the top.

Bingham's a right handed hitter. Pearson's the only sure thing left handed hitter. I expect to see a lot of Neal at catcher in addition to Milazzo, a lot of Ruddell platooning with Jones, and a lot of Brown platooning with Frey. To me, those are the top 12. Only 4 lefties.

Getting from 46 to 40 should be easy
Lape is a redshirt due to injury
Seo not sure how injured he is
Shores and noot unknown status
A couple of fr can redshirt as well and you may have one or two that decide to move on similar to what lansville and grant fontenot did last year

JJ didn’t sound like Neal was going to be full time catcher. He said he thought him catching back to back would be a challenge.
