Yeah there was a lot of different storylines after the break but they're all good i mean it really feels like the good shite is definitely coming in season 3.
I agree splitting it in 2 halfs sucked but I'd be shocked if they did that again. If they do we know it's Kirkman because TWD invented that mid season break shite. I can't think another amazon show that has done it.

I really enjoy the show. For being animated, it really is a good show. It has cool story lines that I'm excited to find out how it all ends.

Supposedly the mid season break wasn’t because of S2 being unfinished but because they didn’t want people to have to wait as long for S3. And apparently Kirkman said in a recent interview he only expects there to be 11-13 month gaps between seasons.
Let’s hope that’s true

Just saw about a year between season, good Lord.

Anissa said they don't want to kill people. They can improve the planet, heal diseases, and eliminate starvation. This doesn't take into account all the other huge steps forward in education and technology. It seems like humans are a good base genetically for them to cross breed. So our whole civilization would be advanced beyond measure. All of that for us to obey them? That doesn't seem like a bad trade off. Or sound like a huge price to pay. But I don't know what all would be involved. Maybe there is something more sinister that I'm not seeing..
I don't read the comics either. But the way I see it, the Viltrumites are like Thanos, but bloodthirsty. They probably could help the world achieve peace, and end world hunger, etc. But instead of peacefully snapping away half of existence to achieve this goal. The Viltrumites will brutally murder half of existence.

I’m a bit disappointed with this season. The story didn’t seem to move very far at all. Unless you count all the jumping between universes I guess. Too much love, not enough mayhem like the first season had. Finale makes up for that just a bit but the surprises are kinda meh.
I don’t understand why it takes so long between seasons for this. It’s not like the animation is the highest quality out there.
Also they’ve become fixated on the swollen black eye thing. One scene is particularly comical. You’ll know it when you see it. Was fully expecting to hear someone say “Cut me, Mick”.

Yeah those evil Mark scenes are pretty brutal.
Just walking down the line karate chopping heads off lol

The second half of season 2 was a letdown like the second half of Better Call Saul’s final season. Sure the wink and nod about how difficult making cartoons was funny in the episode before this, but now looking back at it after the finale pisses me off considering how much of a letdown it was. It felt pretty lazy and uninspired. The mom dying should’ve been the direction they took. And I wish Amber would’ve got smoked by that chick in the episode before. What a whiny bitch making everything about her. Seriously w t f kind of finale was that though? Pretentious douches running this show
Still a GREAT show but I expected greatness from that finale. It took a long break to come up with that? Spare me.

Spoilers for those who read the comics
Is Anissa (brunette Viltramite) going to rape Mark in this?

I thought the first part of season 2 was great but yeah this second half was kind of meh. I did like the finale though. Angstrom was kind of terrifying, having Mark have his first kill, etc.
It does seem to pale in comparison to what later seasons will bring though. Probably why this season felt tame. Just felt like one big setup and almost like a chore to get through more unexciting parts like Mark and Amber breaking up, Mark’s brother coming home with him, etc.

A little slow, but overall I liked this season. They need to release more episodes per season though.

That scene of evil Mark was damn brutal, like I really wasn't expecting that.
Like I know the bad guys are bad. But that was another level But seeing a guy brutally murder a child for no reason. Just damn, almost shook me up.

Damn thought for sure they would have the invincible war this season. That's my favorite villain plot.
Well I hope they cut out some of the bad plots in the future to speed things up. Dinosaurus sucks.
They did do a better job in the show of displaying why Levy hates Mark.

They set Levy up as the big bad in episode 1, then pretty much disappears from the show until the final episode. Could have cut everything with Amber and giving us more time to spend with Levy

Yeah I don't know how they did not just cover the entire Levy arc. I was sure that this season would end with the invincible war. So next season will be the invincible war and Conquest? That is a lot.
