Sunbelt walked into a situation with more than 30 scholarship players on the team.
CBK is frustrating but he won the west in year 1. He is also set up for a 10 win season and a Heisman candidate. He just needs to get his arms around the defensive side of the ball and the future of Tiger football is bright.

Yeah, and CBK had nothing to do with any of JD5's success. He was a gift from the football gods and showed up unexpectedly on campus ready to win the Heisman.

Agree. I'm worried about the talent on the team after this years group leaves. We seem to be missing alot of young talent in key spots. LSU should not be having this problem starting in year 3 of Brian kelly taking over at LSU. Reruiting top players needs to be priority one if we are to compete against the top of SEC. IF BK had the talent that Jimbo wasted he would easily be at the top of the SEC right now.

Did JD5 save CBK and LSU… or CBK and LSU save JD5?
Either way, JD5 has been great fun to watch this season AND if the defense had made two more plays in each of LSU’s losses, our Tigers would be in the catbird seat for the CFP.

So you're saying that Kelly getting Daniels to come to LSU, coaching him up, along with the staff that Kelly hired, and turning him into a Heisman candidate is all luck? I wish you were our coach.

You’re completely discounting what CBK has done for JD5. Yes, the kid is an absolute phenom. But let’s not pretend he would be where HE is if he were still at Arizona State.
Yes, JD5 gave Kelly the QB he needed to hit the ground running. But in that same breath, you have to give CBK credit for his development into what he is today. JD5 goes undrafted if he never comes to LSU.

Last year we were talking about how great it was to have a well spoken, experienced CEO type coach, unlike O & Les, who exceeded all our expectations.
This year Kelly is a dumbass who was saved only because he got lucky and recruited a Heisman worthy QB.
