The wildcard has been BI and Zion. They can take the game over but also iso-ball us out of a lead.

And still have CJ, Trey and Jose to return. It’s gonna be nice

We were 4-1 with CJ. The game we lost, BI didn’t play. If we look at the five game losing streak, we had no CJ, Trey, Jose for all 5, no Naji for 4, no Herb for 3+, no Zion for 1. As soon as Herb and Naji come back we look completely different. That’s no coincidence. I haven’t seen anyone mention it but Kira and Seabron weren’t even dressed last night. They were playing real minutes in that losing streak. We had BI and Zion but literally not much else for most of that losing streak. Barring setbacks and new injuries, we should be a whole team by the end of the month.

Except at C but in today’s NBA maybe that doesn’t really matter. Throwing athletic 6’6”-6’9 dudes out there might just be a working plan.

Minutes are going to be an issue. We need to find some way to get some of our Fs backup minutes at C because that's where we have zero depth.

Dyson, Hawkins and Jose all deserve 20 minutes minimum. Naji has earned time too.

The small-ball lineups work. I looked at Cleaning the Glass and filtered some lineups. When JV, Nance, and Zeller were all off the court, we have a net +4.3 point differential per 100 possessions. When one of them is on the court, we are -6.5.

We've been so much better playing small. I personally am a big fan of the small lineups that feature both Herb and Dyson. Herb can actually handle opposing bigs in the paint, and Dyson is a high-quality rebounder for his position.

All without Trey, Jose, Namce and CJ.

The best part about herb defending bigs is he doesn’t make stupid fouls that our bigs make.

Interesting. I feel like adding Trey could add a little more size to small ball lineups as well.

Both Dyson and Herb are switching on to bigs when teams thinks they can force a mismatch and both have been holding the own. Very good team defense to go with their great individual defense.

If Z and BI keep upping the effort defensively and rebounding, some combo of CJ, Trey, Herb, Dyson, Hawk, or Naji can fill in and we go small.
