I was at Auburn in 2016 when we lost by giving up 6 field goals. It sucked but I said it then, "This defense is unreal!"
Yea the season sucked but
Bama scored 10 on us with JALEN HURTS.
And we shut down Lamar Jackson in a bowl game.
If we had a smidge of offense in 2016, we'd have won the national championship. But who cares? It's fun and we're fans. Enjoy it.

LSU finished second in the nation in defensive SP+ and held opponents to just 4.8 yards per play. Several players from this unit went on to play in the NFL.
From the secondary, Jamal Adams, Tre'Davious White and Donte Jackson were all day one or two picks.
Up front, Davon Godchaux and Arden Key have had successful NFL ventures. This linebacker group was pretty good too with Duke Riley and Kendell Beckwith. Devin White began his emergence down the stretch too.
Without the play of this defense, Ed Orgeron doesn’t get the job at the end of the year.
