I did not see this posted.

He’s just a great defender. You could see his impact today because he wasn’t there in the first game. I really admire that guy,” was the praise that Luka Doncic dropped about Herb Jones.

Did he put respect on Dyson’s name or is he too embarrassed to say anything about that yet? Might wait til the league gets a little more notice?

Probably because this board hates Luka.

Dyson was his primary defender on the Sunday game and Luka feasted. That might have something to do with it.

Luka feasting in that game had way more to do with our secondary defenders not moving their feet, looked like they had bricks in their shoes. Dyson did a fine job at the point of attack. Herb is still better but having guys rotate and hustle on the back end makes any point of attack defender look worlds better.

I mean, he answered the question he was asked. That's a bit of a reach, at best.

Yep...Dyson will be an excellent defensive player. Very important to have BOTH Herb and Dyson. If you just have ONE great defender, he is just too easy to "avoid"...we should have one great defender and one VERY, VERY good defender and that makes a world of difference.

Each will make the other EVEN better...and give us some amazing options on the defensive end...depending on who the opponent is. Scary thing is...Herb MIGHT be better off-ball defender than on-ball...and he's obviously GREAT, on-ball. Dyson is only gonna get better in both respects the more he plays with Herb.

This is absolutely bullshite. Dyson was basically our only perimeter defender on Sunday. He was bouncing back and forth between Kyrie and Luka. Both of them were hot and there was only one Dyson. On Tuesday, we now had 2 elite defenders for 2 elite initiators and got the win.
