Grandmother of slain toddler to build 'City Wall of Love' to remember lives lost to guns

I thought walls were bad???
In a city where gun violence continues to terrorize certain neighborhoods, some feel their loved ones who have been murdered have been forgotten.
- Get Teneshia's name on the back window of your car with RIP on it. Problem solved no wall needed.

Close. But Teneshia was probably killed by a black man with a gun, not a gun.

Until certain elements of society are willing to accept accountability, all attempts for "progress" will be futile.

Will the wall be black?

It's a nice thing and it's her way of moving on. But couldn't they use existing walls rather than build useless walls in empty lots?

She knows the feeling well. Last year, her 3-year-old grandson Devin Page Jr. was shot and killed by a stray bullet while he slept in bed.
So the bullet fired itself? He was killed by a person in his environment. An innocent victim of senseless violence

These people blame other people for climate change, but just cannot make the same leap for guns.
It sucks, I get these people are hurt and traumatized, but unfortunately their solution is always to take away gun owners rights than hit the actual problem.

Her three year old grandson caught a stray bullet from outside while sleeping in his bed. Asshat.

Will they put the War Of Baton Rouge across the top?
Posted on 11/16/23 at 9:02 am to GuidoVestieri
And she wants the City of Baton Rouge to pay for the walls, multiple walls around the city. It's sad what happened to her grandson, senseless, but putting up walls with taxpayer money won't fix this at all. She needs to funnel her efforts into something else that helps those affected by these killings, without taxpayer funds.

They just need to speak up and cooperate with the law.
