Well post your list and let me know what their records would be facing Michigan and Ohio State every year. I think Franklin is ranked about right at No. 14.

Lanning just doesn’t have enough history or any titles as a head coach. Momentum, sure…but no hardware. I think he’s good where you have him.

Kelly’s time at ND with no conference hurts him. I do think he is top 10 though.

You could have saved some time and just made a thread called, "LOL OLE PISS SUCKS" and we would have still likely given you the attention you crave.

He has two playoff appearances and 1 BCS championship game. There's only a five active coaches that can beat or equal that: Saban, Dabo, Kirby, Ryan Day and Lincoln Riley.

If Kiffin can finish this season off well and win a bowl, then perhaps he would make the list. I like him as a coach, more than most do. His record is just average though.

But his title was almost 25 years ago and he hasn’t had success recently as have the others.

He has UNC competing for the ACC title, that’s pretty damn impressive.

Cut out the weird COVID year (also his first season cleaning up Luke's mess), and his floor is 8 wins and he's likely about to finish with his second 10 win regular season.

At Ole Miss.

Know how many 10 win regular seasons we had before Kiffin?

None.

I'm not saying he's tGOAT, but he's damn sure top 15 and could be argued top 10.

Top 20 is a no brainer.

You're probably right. I added him at No. 21 just now. I said in the original post that after 15 there were about 10 coaches that were fairly equal. He's definitely in that mix. If he finishes with 10 wins and a bowl win, he would certainly silence many of his critics.

As I said, I like him.

Kelly at Number 3?! He has not proven to be number three. Ever since he took over LSU, he lost 4 games last year and lost 3 so far this year. That is 7 losses in 2 years!

Our worst years under Kelly have been better than 90% of the years under any coach at Mizzou.

Kelly also looked like a genius against yall this season. Mizzou made our shite defense look competent.

Still not a current Top 10 coach.

But that’s just one old fart’s opinion.

True. I just think conference titles help build resumes. I suppose it’s also a testament to him that he did that with no conference to play in, he just has one less trophy to show for it.

Lets argue for Bent Venables. I see all these arguments about other coaches and their past accomplishments. Yet BV is not listed top 20?

- Won a title for Bob Stoops as DC

- Won 2 titles for Dabo as DC. In fact it could be argued his D had more to do with titles than Dabo? Look at Clemson since he left.

- Took over a Riley ravaged team and has them at 8-2 and improving after a complete teardown and rebuild.

People are sleeping on him. Last year all I read here was slander at him. Its more quiet this year but still no respect.

I’ll be sitting here in the corner and see how he shakes out. But my chips are pushed all in on BV. He’ll be moving up this list soon.

Probably should be on the list. Purdue is a hard school to win at. He will probably skyrocket in national perception at Louisville.

Did you know Kentucky had House as their DC? He did a very good job. What happened to House at LSU?

House has sucked all but two years in his career. Mediocre season last year at LSU and his one fluke year at UK. At UK, it was Stoops defense. It actually stayed top tier after House left because it wasn’t him. He’s a lazy recruiter and without a DC head coach to put him in his place is awful.
