frick that. We already have a guy who’s too rigid in their scheme and doesn’t adjust. Let’s not trade him for another who also isn’t known as an ace recruiter.

This isn't a knock on State. SMU will likely have a top 15 NIL war chest and going to the ACC. Have you ever been to SMU? Stupid money everywhere.

I actually have a few times. My brother lives a few miles down the road from it. I've been all around Highland Park.

I'm just saying that from a path to the playoffs and resources to get talent, SMU is a pretty good gig. They are probably at the same level NIL wise as Clemson and FSU. I'm not sure he would take A&M if offered.

I would be thrilled with Chadwell.

I was saying he would be great there in a thread yesterday. I know Cleveland and Starkville are not comparable places, but he and his wife evidently hated it there and he left Delta St after one year. Someone in that thread said he’s very attached to the Appalachian/Blue Ridge corridor and is hunting a P5 job in that region.

If that’s true, West Virginia or VA Tech could be open in a year. I would still make an offer to him, though. Money talks and Starkville is a whole lot nicer than Cleveland.

It took Fritz six years to make Tulane ranked. He didn’t make a bowl game until year three.

He’s making north of 2 mil per year indefinitely now, so why go to a place that will can you in year one?

Firing a coach so soon is a RED flag.

Because they will most likely pay you $20 mil to fire you. And when you are close to retirement age, it makes a ton of sense.

Tom Herman or Chadwell should be who they throw money at

What if I would’ve told you both coaches would be fired the next day after a 51-10 game and the one that scored 51 would be first

I mean, I am ignoring that route but I guess if MSU wants to write you a retirement check, let them.

I wouldn’t take the MSU job without a massive buyout. Rough division to play in.

Jamey Chadwell: Makes $4 mill and can wait until a better job comes along.

Lance Leipold: Kansas is at least an equal, and maybe better job now. Certainly can win easier there in the new Big 12.

Willie Fritz: Would be a great hire

Tom Herman: Currently 4-6 at FAU in his first year. Too soon.

Jon Sumrall: Would be a great hire

Jeff Lebby: Certainly one of the top OCs. Think he could get a better job in a few years.

Rhett Lashlee: SMU is a better job right now.

Most justified firing in less than 1 full season I’ve seen in awhile.

I’m confident he will not be stopped by a suitor’s inability to outbid Liberty University.

Liberty will go undefeated this year and probably next year. His stock will be sky high a year from now. He can get a job with a higher ceiling than MSU.

I agree and am not denying that, but, maybe not you in particular, many "Rebels" whether in person or message boards spout off about our NIL when in fact they have no idea about it and probably no idea about Ole Miss' either.

Yeah Chadwell has proven himself to be a damn good coach.

He should likely hold out and see if a real big job opens up.
