I would evaluate Napier after four years; Florida was a total rebuild just like LSU.

You can dismiss him all you want, but what I saw last night in the stadium.
Fla OL and DL dominated LSU for 3/4th of the game.
Fla played fast and their DB's covered receivers much better than LSU db's covered Fla Receivers.
the only area that Fla wasn't better than LSU was one player. Daniels who played perhaps the greatest offensive game I have ever seen...and he did it mostly on his own, with help from 2 NFL receivers.
Other than those 3 players, my opinion is that FLa is/was the better 'team'. Disagree if you wish, but watching every play everyone in my section of the stadium completely agreed.
I thought Fla played fast and hard. They just didn't have houdini on their team.

UF’s DL didn’t do shite in the second half. We adjusted to their blitzes and they didn’t get much pressure from that point on. Williams and a very limited Cain had no issues closing the game with a TD drive running the ball right at them.
As for UF, they average 417 yards of offense per game and had a whopping 488 vs our Swiss cheese defense. Very impressive.
Napier had a top 5 draft pick QB last year and didn’t know what the frick to do with him.
You guys can keep spinning this all you want

I’m not a huge Napier fan by any means but isn’t his recruiting class ranked higher than LSU at this time? Also, I think Florida let’s his contract play out before he’s fired.

quote:Yes, but Ed O had two top 5 classes in 20 & 21 and those turned out to be disastrous. Recruiting rankings don’t mean anything if you can’t develop kids when they get to campus.

quote:Florida axed Mullen the second he had a losing season. You think they’re going to be patient with Billy if he finishes this season with a losing record and back to back season without being bowl eligible?
Also, I think Florida let’s his contract play out before he’s fired.

Napier finished with a losing season last year. He will finish with one and no bowl this year, which takes away development and practice time. He has the toughest schedule in the FBS next season and could easily have a 3rd losing season in a row.
Napier is already going to be the first UF coach to start with 2 losing seasons. If he has one next year, especially if they don’t improve, their admin may pull the escape lever and move on. He’s going to be relying on a bunch of young guys to make it work next year. How did that work out for Jimbo?

Napier is a terrible HC. LSU Is lucky to have Kelly instead.

He won the west and made it to 10 wins during his first year. You fricks are insufferable.
