This is a horribly coached team

It’s amazing that anyone considers him a good coach. He’s been awful and it shows how much CJ is the reason this team turned around when that trade happened. The only reason they have been even mediocre is his leadership which is countering the awful coaching by Willie.

Coaches barely matter in the NBA. Systems less so. Its about will and desire. Talent and fit are the primary factors in winning teams. We have low IQ players that are lazy and do not fit together. I don't care if we hire Nurse or resurrect Phil Jackson. We'd be desperate and foolish to think swapping coaches would matter at all..

Is Willie coaching why Zion and Ingram turned it over 9 times combined last night?
He had a winning record last year and made the playoffs the year before. All with zion playing 30 fricking games in 2 years. Relax on him. He's a good coach that has shown some willingness to change.

He has been awful when CJ is out and if you recall had a horrid record his first year before the CJ trade.
That is my point. CJ is the leader that makes this team work, and Willie drags them down.
Coaches are supposed to motivate the players, and Willie was hired based on being a rah rah guy, cause it was never Xs and Os with him. He’s failed miserably as a Rah Rah guy.

You do realize how hard it is to coach a team that is missing 5 players right? Especially when you’re playing Dyson/Hawkins as your starting guards.

Some of y’all speak as if you should win zero games bc a guy is hurt. A winnable game is a winnable game. Stop making excuses for these folks
What does this mean? The Rockets won 22 games last year and their average age is like 23 years old right now. Ime Udoka already has that team on a better trajectory than us and they have been actively tanking for 3 years while we push every chip to the middle of the table

I don't understand his bench , even with the injuries it is insane.

Question that I've started asking is "what are the characteristics of a Willie Green coached team?" What words would be used to describe his teams? I have trouble identifying where he moves the needle at all, positively or negatively. Everything is just "okay."

It is definitely a problem though. Willie sucks at adjustments.
