Non-Pels NBA November Thread

We had one of these last season and it worked out well. Of course, people can talk about other NBA teams in the MSB, but it's good to have a thread here to talk about the league from the Pels' perspective, especially since we aren't doing a dedicated Lakers thread this season.

Watching the Bucks at Pacers game right now, and Giannis is going crazy and has 35 points early in the 3rd quarter, but the game is tied right now, because the Pacers can shoot -- they hit thirteen 3s in the first half.
The Pacers are a good team this year.

Here's a non Pels topic.
Austin Reeves has been terrible to start the season.
through 8 games he's shooting 28% from 3, taking 4.5 a game. He's 51% from the field, down 12% from last year, averaging a turnover more than last year but only playing 3 more mpg, and scoring the same 13 ppg he was last year except he's taking 4 more shots a game, yet not actually scoring more points.
Also, the Lillard/Giannis combo doesn't seem to be gelling to well, although i'm sure they'll figure it out.
Lillard is shooting 29% from 3, on 58 attempts thus far, and his assists are way down. Fun fact, Jordan Hawkins has taken 60 3 point attempts thus far, and has hit them at 37%.
Hawkins>Lillard
and Steph Curry has started this season ridiculously hot, shooting well more 3's than anyone else and hitting them at 47%

Portland is definitely going to tank again this season for another high draft pick.

Oh, wait. We didn't have a season-long thread, because Chicken said that he didn't want that. So we did these as weekly threads.
But I'm not sure that I want to make a new thread each week this season. I'm busier now than I was last season.
Let's try monthly threads, and we'll see you if Chicken is okay with that.

How can they bench superstar Austin Reaves?

Not a bad move. He deserves more of the ball and he will get it by leading the 2nd unit.

Opponents have adjusted to his style of offense...plus they are attacking him unmercifully on the defensive end.
Up to him...to adjust to the adjustments. I think he'll end up just fine.

LeBron out tonight (calf contusion) against Portland.

He's still productive. Just hasn't been as efficient. He's a high IQ guy, he's going to adjust and his efficiency will level out. As far as him coming off the bench, they don't have a ball handler off the bench so it makes sense why they put him there. He's still playing big minutes for them.

Speaking of "floppers"...just saw Marcus Smart get a floppin' technical...GREAT to see.

I think Tyrese Maxey may be better than Dame Lillard is now and he’s only 23. Scary.

Just to make it official...I could definitely find a place...somewhere...for Matisse Thybulle on this Pels' team. By midseason...he will be a MUCH better player than he currently is...and by the end of the year...people will begin to realize why I really like where this guy is headed.
