I do think people on here overrated him some but his closing speed is elite.

Problem is house doesn't know how to get him free or in advantageous match-ups

I keep saying this, but why doesn't house ever bring him on a delayed blitz up the middle.

Move him around before the snap.

When he does line up at jack when its obviously a pass, teams are just chipping him making him much less effective when you also add in the fact our dbs aren't great at covering. You can only disguise his blitz from his nickel/sam position so much and teams are using spread formations to his side to limit it.

The cast around Perkins changed too. We had two top pass rushers, and we had a far better secondary.

Last year Perkins’ role was somewhat limited by his lack of experience. The challenge was to build on his 22 experience and broaden his contributions. That hasn’t happened.

You are being downvoted, but you are right. That is part of the issue. Perkins rushed 14 times against Bama and apart from that one sack on the first drive, before Bama settled in, he was a non-factor.
