It’s not hard to imagine: a lawsuit against the SEC

Everybody hopes for a full recovery for Heisman Candidate Jayden Daniels.
But, imagine that a player was seriously injured by a player who had shown a propensity in prior games for intentional efforts to injure such players.
And the player played for a team that not only has fostered cheap shot players, but found that the conference turned a blind eye to such dangerous tactics.
And late in the season, with a title on the line the team, the player AND the Conference do the foreseeable and a player is seriously injured.
I can think of nothing other than the prospect of the loss of big money to turn such things around after all these years.

Certainly wouldn’t be a school sponsored lawsuit.

Looks like another post for message board geniuses

Everyone standing around asking what can be done about SEC manipulating games.
The only ideas they can come up with is leaving hundreds of voicemails, or complaining on message boards.
litigation is the only way anything will ever change. Needs to be alumni from LSU, Tenn, Ole Miss, Texas forming a class action suit of some sort.

The other option, which would never happen, is if people simply stopped watching. If every fanbase not named Georgia or Alabama just decided that they are tired of the fix, I suspect things would change. But again, won’t happen.

I'm diehard, but even I'm considering checking out.
It would take too much cooperation amongst too many people. But boycotts have worked before.
Another thought is we really don't know how deep the rabit hole goes with influence from TV networks, Vegas, and the SEC itself which has financial incentive to get a team to the playoff every year. (SEC partnering up with Pfizer and BioNtech, WTF is that?)
Vegas is run by the Mob essentially, and god only knows what lengths Disney+ESPN will go to silence something. You'd need someone to lay their neck out on the line over a football game, which probably isnt something many people are willing to do.

I honestly think we are getting ready to sue the SEC. I wouldn’t be surprised if the SEC isn’t a conference in 5 years. LSU is about to take this shite conference for all it’s worth.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if LSU jumped to another conference. Big12 would probably pay big bucks to seduce a top-tier SEC team away. If the SEC is going to play dirty favorites why NOT go somewhere else?
I don't think it would happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if the threat of leaving wasn't layed on the table.

I also thought it'd be funny to see every SEC team forfeit to Alabama in protest so their fans don't get a season.

It's not going to happen and it's such a loser mentality to keep bringing it up in increasingly absurd contexts.
It should have been targeting. It wasn't. The refs fricked up, which they do all the time because they suck at their jobs.
Tough break, but ain't not a damn thing anyone can do about it. The LSU/Bama series has evened out some in recent years and we're going to beat them again very soon. They got us this year. Happens.

This isn’t a remedy for LSU.
It’s for the injured player.
It’s not hard to imagine a significant claim for punitive damages.
Part of what is being sold here is the violence, and the tv revenues are hundreds of millions.
Nothing short of this would ever get the attention of the SEC.

It’s pointless with some people on here. Way too many have a victim mentality.

The players are not disposable pieces of human garbage. The SEC has wronged this young man.
The money made with a marquee Alabama team for the conference is not worth player safety.
An example needs to be made of Alabama to prevent them from targeting and injuring other players in future games.
