I get what youre saying but this will be the last year of gym for the rest of her life. Go out with a bang.
Definitely but at the same time I'm sure they don't want to over do it and then she reinsures herself just a month into the year. Its a long season.
You still got to pace yourself. This involves smart routine construction and utilizing your depth

I’m thinking they won’t use her every week on floor so the 3 passes won’t play a big part.

LSU is ranked #2 in the College Gym News Preseason Poll.

Victoria Roberts, a 2024 level 10 from Louisiana, just commiited to LSU. I assume she will be a walk-on but don't quote me on that.

Her Instagram bio says class of 2024

Victoria Roberts of EDGE Gymnastics in BR commits to LSU!
Her training videos of her on all 4 events are pretty solid and clean in her form and her skills.
Some skill highlights:
Vault: front pike half
Bars: Jaeger, pak salto, double layout dismount (all clean)
Beam: BHSO LOSO, front toss to a scale/Liukin, front aeriel, switch leap to switch half (actually hits the full 180 or damn near close to it on both), straddle half
Floor: clean double pike, has a front double full and a clean full in she’s been training

Regardless of whether she’s a 2024 or 2025 she was already and automatically gonna be a walk on given our scholarship count and who already has accepted one for those recruiting classes. Also, in state recruits don’t tend to get offered a scholarship when they’re recruited since in state tuition as a lot cheaper than out of state tuition so if they end up getting a scholarship it’s because they’ve either earned it during their time at LSU with how they’ve competed and represented the program (like Sydney Ewing) or someone else medically retired or changed their commitment so they’re offered a one year scholarship that they have to work to continue to earn year after year (like Bryce Wilson)

Some good training videos of bar dismounts on Instagram stories (so will disappear in 24 hours from posting).
Featuring: Jeffrey, Kiya, Sav, Aleah, Konnor, Haleigh.
Wonder if this is the top 6, though even if it is, it shouldn't be in that order.
Aleah is still doing last season's dismount, though she stuck it in the video.

Not trying to start anything so don’t come at me!
Did something happen between the Fla coaches and Savannah? I just notice on instagram that she never likes any of their stuff. The girls stuff yes, but not the gym acct. I find this a little odd. I can understand why the Utah girls wouldn’t like their stuff. Just curious. It’s not a big deal.

I wouldn't read too much into it! From what I heard, she just wanted a change in scenery after her years in Florida.

Just some highlights from Jay Clark's interview with the All Things Gymnastics Podcast:
-This year's team motto is "Get There," being present every day in training
-Jay is being cautious with Konnor's training, especially the leg events, still planning to do elite, college routines are the foundation for her elite routines, still training double full on vault
-Aleah rested after Worlds, but she fully regained her previous college routines (except she changed her vault from Omelinchek to Yurchenko 1.5)
-Kiya has recovered well, training her double full on vault, double full dismount off beam, 3 pass floor routine, Jay hopes to limit her leg events early in the season even though she is ready to compete
-Freshman look to make an impact with Amari Drayton in AA, Konnor McClain in AA, and Kylie Coen mostly on beam/floor
-Sav Schoenherr is fitting in well and has become a vocal leader
-Jillian Hoffman had a procedure on her elbow for a preexisting issue, so she just started training vault at the time of the interview
-Cammy Hall is back, training vault and floor, more likely to compete on vault, very positive figure on the team
-Jay and the staff are trying to plan line-ups before the season to allow our AAs rest while also using our depth, but line-ups will not be "set in stone"
-Jay thinks that depth is our biggest strength and also our biggest weakness, has emphasized selflessness within the team, communication is key
-LSU has hired security who work with local authorities to protect gymnasts with the rise of NIL and popular athletes
-Optimistic interview!

I’m gonna miss her OMELIANCHIK. I love how unique it was and form wise, she performed it incredibly well. 1.5’s can be hit or miss on the form and sticking end, especially when it comes to how she’s done it at the elite level. Could cost us a tenth or more in the post season when there’s already better 1.5s/10.0 vaults on our roster with NCAA competition experience.

Looks like Anaya Drayton retired from the sport. I saw people in multiple places guessing she’d go to LSU. She visited Minnesota also. Strange, I hope she’s not injured.

I get this - it is a beautiful vault, but, in general, I think the 1.5 is easier to land and yurchenko style vaults are judged much more leniently I find than other vault families. I think this is probably a good move scoring wise for us.
I will say it again - there is no reason on God’s earth that we shouldn’t have 6 10.0 vaults this year - I don’t care how good the the yurchenko fulls are.

Wow, I'm shocked. Didn't see that coming. From her IG bio and recent stories it looks like she is still training track & field.

WCGA Coaches Poll has us ranked third to start the year. Don’t know why we’re ranked behind Florida but oh well

Our team will have to prove them wrong. Florida seems to always get the benefit of the doubt just like Bama does in football.

Florida is talented (maybe not as much as last year) and have been really good lately. I don't care tbh, they just need to continue to work and polish routines and it will work itself out.
Gym 101 should be interesting. I think all eyes will be on bars and beam because those events will prob be the difference in winning a national title or not. The bars group there really isn't excuses with the addition of Sav, return of Kiya and the freshmen class not to be significantly improved. Konnor being added to the beam lineup and getting Kiya back is a dramatic boost for that rotation as well.
