Why the hell is the traffic this shitty on I24 around Chatanooga on a Sunday at 1:30? Stupid 4 lane interstates... build more lanes.
So freaking annoying... no accident, no construction..

Chattanooga traffic is always fricking awful, I lose my shite every time we go thru there.
Locals may have better routes but I would 86 it from places to live just bc of that.

Because always. Doesn't matter what time or day, that junk happens. Just like BR bridge traffic. I-24 is crap everywhere, someone dies on it at least once a week between Nashville and Murfreesboro.

It will take 10 years to build more lanes. That is how long it took to widen a road on my commute to work.

Where we live in NE AL, Chattanooga is a bit closer for us than Huntsville, but we have stopped going to Chattanooga unless we absolutely have to. The traffic is almost always a disaster. Literally the best time to drive into Chattanooga from the west is during rush hour traffic in the morning. At least then it’s mostly people who know how to drive up and down those hills and around those curves.

The i24-75 junction is top 10 worst interchanges in the country. Supposedly the construction to double the lanes will be done by next summer. I'm not holding my breath

That Chattanooga I-24 traffic jam is at least 45 years old. I was cussing the traffic through there in the ‘ 70’s.
