John Lennon was harder than most.
I was always hoping the guy would finally figure things out. He struggled so hard and came to so many wrong conclusions along the way, but his time was cut short when maturity might have brought him to something of value.
Contrast this with David Bowie who seemed to gel at the very end.
But no - not generally affected by celebrity deaths or their other events. They are basically irrelevant to my path.

You did not know this person personally. You have zero idea what they are like as a person. You were never in a personal relationship with them. They weren’t family, they weren’t even a friend.
ain't gonna lie, when Kobe died, I got misty... being a dad, just thinking if something happened to me, etc... it just got to me, and I wasn't even a fan of Kobe as a basketball player... I actually hated Kobe as a player, but as a father and husband, after he retired, he won me over... and when he died, along with one of his daughters, yeah, it got to me...

I cried when Taylor Hawkins died, but not immediately. Watching the tribute concerts and seeing his son on stage got to me. Weirdly, I feel OK about my mental health in spite of it.

I will only cry over the loss of someone who means something to me, and I mean something to them. If they wouldn't cry over my death, I won't cry over theirs

I didn't cry but was upset when my first crush Olivia Newton John died. You never heard anything bad about her. Great Lady.
