F’ed up an amazing relationship chasing tale. Really hurt a very good woman. Many years later still feel awful.

I'm sure she is fine.
She has probably forgotten that you exist.
Women move on from relationships much faster/easier than men.

I quit teaching grade school to pursue better opportunities. I vowed to never return to the classroom no matter what.

Got a once in a lifetime opportunity and gave it up because it was going to be a real challenge.

Now I’m back to teaching grade school.

Life’s not bad and I am a very blessed man. But that’s certainly my life’s biggest regret.

Told my friends ex-wife that if she dropped 100lbs that I would give her the D.

Feel kind of bad but I was trying to give her motivation.

Not investing in land when young.

Selling previous houses instead of renting them out.

When I graduated high school I didn’t go straight to college. I waited a year and worked for a contractor outfit. Had $5,000 saved and no bills. If I had it to do all over again I would’ve left town for another contractor job and saved my cash till I ended up somewhere else.

Since that is my regret, I’ve considered what I’ll do for my kids. My 15 year old son tells me that he doesn’t want to go to straight to school after high school, he wants to wait till the following year. I’m not really sure what he could do in 6 months that could change his trajectory. I think I’m gonna tell him to pick his biggest dream future and I’ll fund him for a year. Give him one chance to shoot for the stars.

I had to stop going to Renaissance festivals dressed as Thomas Becket for the same reason.

Not sticking with the National Weather Service because of anxiety issues.

Letting the love of my life marry someone else because I was immature in college.

I broke up with a girl to prove a point and didn’t really mean it. It kinda ruined her. She is a hella cool girl, but after that all we did was fight and no matter what I did, it didn’t matter.

Most men don't understand that women don't love men the same way that men love women.
Women look at men the way men look at jobs.
To a woman a man is more of a role player, someone to provide the lifestyle that she desires (house, kids etc.).
While men are in love, women are in business.
That's why women only marry men with more money/assets than themselves.
You are invisible to her once it has been established that you are not going to be the guy to provide that future.
If your company stopped paying you would you still go to work and do that job ?
Of course not, because you didn't love the job/company, you loved the lifestyle that it provided.
It's a tough pill to swallow, but women don't love you the way you love them.

Oof! I have many contenders. Honestly thinking of the list hurts my heart if I’m being honest.

Is this a Story of Chunk thread?

I don't have a biggest regret .... but I have quite a few regrets from my younger days.

They haunt me.

Best thing to do is to let them go.
