Details of the Pels in season tournament court coming out

I just can't seem to muster a single frick for the NBA Cup and how contrived it all is.
Like, if we win it, but for whatever reason crash out in the play-in round again, does the fact that we won the NBA Cup make 23-24 a better Pels season than 22-23?

Look man this is long suffering franchise. If Pels win anything that gets them a trophy I’m all for it, regardless how the season plays out.

That you are champions of a midseason tournament of professional basketball teams. I’m not arguing that it may mean nothing to most franchises. But when the Pelicans are literatally champions of nothing, I’ll take whatever I can get.

The whole thing, including the real NBA postseason, is an entertainment product. If the Pels do well enough and fans get into it and the arena is rocking, I don't really care that it's merely some manufactured excitement, I'll still be happy.

All things start somewhere. You and I both know how much the FA cup means. This will obviously never hold a candle to that but I applaud them for at least trying to get the have not franchises involved.
