I wish figuring out how to not have as many fatherless homes was front and center rather than all the other bullshite.

That’s what you get in a culture that values the collective over the individual and respects elders. US culture could probably benefit from being a little less individualistic.

As sad and horrific as that is, it’s a needle in a haystack for Chicago

Every time there is a mass shooting in a place that doesn’t typically have a lot of crime there is a crowd that applies some sort of whataboutism using Chicago. I’m not sure what is the point of that.

Congratulations on traveling and seeing cities of the world … We have our issues for sure but spend more time over in those places and you’ll Want to Be back here

I have seen a lot more than most.

As far as wanting to be back “here,” that depends on where “here” is.

I'll bet they weren't speaking Japanese.

What are they, if they are not black?

Value the collective? thats precisely what we do here.

Our issue is that weve chopped society into groups and deal with groups, not humans.

Man I posted similar points when I returned from most recent visit back in April. They’re all on the same page and homogeneous, which helps, but yes we could learn a lot from them. They’re living in the future.

You got it.

The birth rate is abysmal which is why they too will resort to mass immigration soon enough though

Yeah I lived in the Kyushu countryside for awhile and it took me a long time to get used to how much failure is inherent in American life. People over 40 know this, but younger people really have no idea how much America has lost over the decades. We are objectively a very trashy culture. We have our good points for sure , but it diminishes a little bit every year.
