Update: Toddler dies after shooting herself in chest

Should the "parents" be charged with negligent murder?

Hell yes.

It is your Responsibility as a gun owner to always keep your guns away from kids! No excuses. No sympathy!

She just passed away. Prayers for her and may her parents be brought to justice.
Her parents being careless Gun owners caused this. Teach the child Gun safety and/or keep it out reach of your damn 2 year old CHILDS hands and this won’t happen. The whole situation is shitty and I’m sure her parents feel horrible, but this shite needs to change. People need to be held accountable for these kids shooting themselves with their parents firearms. All could have been perfectly avoided and their little girl would still be here. A fricking shame.

A 2-year-old isn't going to rack a slide or even work a firm double-action revolver trigger.

Ummm, you should probably move to a nicer neighborhood…..

I also have Firearms scattered thru out my house.
I also have a chickenshit dog that barks a bunch.

It’s asinine to think you can teach gun safety to a two year old.

That said, this kind of story always makes me curious.

Most two year olds are still learning dexterity stacking blocks or fitting animal puzzle pieces into cutouts on a wood sheet.

How do two year olds like this somehow get the dexterity to pick up a gat, point it at their chest, AND pull the trigger?

Seems like a fishy story.

What a waste of human life. We have culcha that produces this type of action and liberals celebrate it. What a bunch of disgusting scum bags!

Everyone except tgrbaitn08’s kids. Those frickers were performing neurosurgery while imbibing John Stuart Mill at two years old.

Where did I say my 2 year old kids could shoot a gun?

I actually said just the opposite

I said they couldn’t even open the drawer or cabinet where the guns were stored.

Then I said they were potty trained at 2 years old

Not sure why you’re making up lies

I’ve actively ignored you and [random poster’s] fights for fifteen years.

But this one is eye-opening. I can’t be the first one to suggest you’re on the spectrum, right?

I don’t even know why I’m having this conversation with your dumbass.

I don’t think you even have kids but if you did at what age would you teach them that a stove is hot and it will burn you?

Or to not run out into traffic?

If you do have kids, I’m sorry you’re still changing diapers when they are 2 years old and making them wear a leash

No you can’t but you can help them start to understand the importance of gun safety

I agree with the “how they were raised and their experience with guns part”. I am in my 40’s and my grandfather slept with a loaded gun on his nightstand and one on the mantle in the living room and my parents told my sister and I not to touch it so we didn’t. My cousins didn’t mess with them either-ever. The guns were never even talked about. Of course, we weren’t raised to be thugs either, so there’s that.
