They have announced the opponents but does anyone know when they will announce the dates and times for next year's SEC football schedule

This has been asked a few times and nobody on the board knows.

Definitely planning on @USCe (South Carolina), whenever that happens. Hopefully we can have a normal game against them for once.

ETA: We're playing both USCs next year, had to qualify.

What I find a little concerning is that as of right now, our schedule looks like this:

9/1 - vs USC (Vegas)
9/7 - vs Nicholls
9/21 - vs UCLA
9/28 - vs South Alabama

This leaves 9/14 for an SEC game, probably on the road.

Then we have 7 more SEC games between 10/5 and 11/30 (9 weeks). 2024 is one of those quirky "two open date" years so at least we'll get a reprieve that way, but not having a non-conference game or two sprinkled into the SEC schedule is dicey.

I like having Nicholls right after that USC game, and it'll be awesome to have UCLA, Oklahoma and Bama all come to Tiger Stadium. Perhaps that South Alabama game will get moved to later in the year.

I believe we might have an early bye week in October, week 6 maybe.

Surprised the schedule hasn’t been released yet. It’s usually out by now

We may learn the dates but I would be willing to bet that we won’t know times until a couple weeks before the season unless it would be a prime time game. Usually for those games they will announce times a lot earlier

Here’s my guess:

9/1 vs USC
9/7 vs Nicholls
9/14 at SCe
9/21 vs UCLA
9/28 vs USA
10/5 BYE
10/12 at UF
10/19 vs OM
10/26 at A&M
11/2 BYE
11/9 vs Bama
11/16 vs Vandy
11/23 vs OU
11/30 at Arky

There’s absolutely no basis for the NCAA to allow us to do that.

Especially with the 14-week schedule in 2024.

They don't announce times until maybe two weeks before the game. Take a look at this year's schedule and you will see.

11/30 at Arky

Don’t see that happening. Just because Texas joins and most likely will end the year with A&M, doesn’t mean the league will disrupt the Arky - Mizzou season ending game. Arky & Missouri are far more natural rivals than Arky ever was for us.

Week 3: available opponents

LSU: @ A&M, @ Florida , @ South Carolina

** South Carolina: vs A&M, vs LSU

A&M: vs LSU, @ South Carolina, @ Florida

** Florida: vs LSU, vs A&M

Kentucky: vs Georgia

*Georgia: @ Kentucky

*= Georgia only available opponent is Kentucky so both Florida and South Carolina won’t be able to play Kentucky

** = Florida is not scheduled to play South Carolina

Week 3:
Georgia @ Kentucky
LSU @ South Carolina
Texas A&M @ Florida

Is Nichols playing Hawaii or are we playing any games other than in the Continental US? If not, getting a Week Zero game may not be easily achieved.

Hawaii has September 7 available but USC is a neutral site game even thought I wish lsu would take advantage of the Hawaii rule and play Nicholls state week they won’t cause of neutral site game.
Also Hawaii new stadium only has couple thousand seating capacity so won’t be worth it money wise

What I would have done is

Week 0: vs Rice or Nicholls State (extra game)
Week 1: vs USC (on campus)
Week 2: @ Hawaii
Week 3: vs UCLA
Week 4: @ SEC opponent
Week 5: vs South Alabama

Oklahoma-Mizzou is probably a bigger rivalry than Arky-Mizzou. That seems more likely.
