Figured since it’s opening night we should have a thread on the games.

If it’s any consolation to anyone for losing him, Jaxson looks just as lost as ever, checked in and picked up a foul 20 seconds later

Half the Lakers rotation are objectively bad(at least below avg) basketball players.

Rui/Hayes/Reddish/Vincent/Prince.

Barring a major injury...Jokic will end up top 10 of all time in NBA. Question is...will he end up in top 5?

Yeah, one injury to Lebron and AD and they’re screwed.

I think Phoenix will be the same way with KD/Book

Its beyond stupid they’re playing Reddish over Christie. Christie has earned minutes.

I mean to be fair thats almost every nba team. Imagine if nuggets lost jokic and murray or if we lost Zion or BI. Honestly nba is majority if the time about teams stars and staying healthy.

Yeah but Denver and Pels have talent behind our stars to stay afloat for awhile. Lakers and Suns have nothing behind their guys, no way they would be able to stay afloat

I mean lakers have reaves, russell can get hot- i dont like him, wood can score, vincent can shoot/score, rui showed last season he can play. Suns have beal, gordon, nurkic, and ton of shooters. Denver to me is basically all jokic and murray man- without them they really would have issues scoring. And pels- i love pels but we have cj, jonas and trey and then mostly defensive guys.

Lakers have players they just need to play the right guys. Suns with Gordon and Beal can keep their team afloat. My point is honestly its just about your stars stayin healthy- and nuggets did that last year better than anyone.

I thought Hayes is their backup big, he’s played 6 minutes and he’s -7

I dont know what they’re doing with him. They’re playing him with Wood and he still looks lost on D. I feel like Ham is trying to figure out his rotation. My gut feeling is Jaxson eventually will be riding the bench like last year.

He was supposed to be, but he and Wood looked so bad when they played that Ham had Rui guarding Jokic to close the half when AD sat

Man I don’t care what anyone says but AD was more alpha with Pels than hes ever been with lakers. And I still thought he was pretty Beta then lol Jokic is abusing him man and the lakers offense as usual falls off when Bron sits.

He seems to have stretches where he looks like he’s about to take over the game, then he folds like wet cardboard

No need to imagine losing Zion and Ingram. That’s lived experience for all of us.

If the bar is being a contender, I agree.

But BI/Zion missed over half of their available games combined last season, and we had a winning record.

If Lebron/AD miss the same amount, the Lakers are a bottom 5 ish NBA team.
