Cop recorded lying about driver speeding because his feelings were hurt

This cop probably posts here. My favorite part is whent he cop says he was going "10% over the speed limit" and when the driver asks what the speed limit is, he admits he doesn't know.

I’ve argued many times that a law enforcement agency is an accurate representation of the people they serve.
When a video has an officer speaking “mud mouth and it’s a small town, rural community, I pcan’t help but to wonder how that community failed.

Cop should spend a night in jail for that.

I think this happened to me once. I accidentally kind of cut off a cop. He followed me for a while. I obviously didn’t speed because there was a cop right behind me. He pulled me over and lit into me about going like 55 in a 35. He ask me if I was calling him a liar when I politely disagreed with that. Ultimately he let me go with no ticket.

He should have to pay whatever the fine for a speeding ticket is and the monthly equivalent to whatever increase in insurance premiums that driver would’ve paid for the next several years due to the ticket.

Twice I’ve not received a ticket because I pushed back(respectfully) on the speed they supposedly caught be going. One was a LA trooper and the other was a Missouri trooper.

Never do this - it’s a toll. It has nothing to do with anything but collecting $$

I didn't think it could get worse, but when he said he estimated him at 10% over the speed limit...time to find a new career.

If you really want to piss them off ask to see the radar I did that once and the officer threatened me and told me he would keep me there search my vehicle and charge me with anything he could.

I mean cops aren't required to radar to ticket someone, so that's an easy answer.

Cop is a pos, but the boot lickers here don’t care.

I believe they are required to know what the speed limit is, when guesstimating how many percent over it you were going. This cop started off bad and went steadily downhill. There was obviously nothing to do with enforcing the law involved.

I watch entirely too many clips of cops just making shite up. Just once I'd like to see a cop say, "You know you are right, I'm sorry. Have a good day."

Nevermind.

I believe they are trained to not admit any guilt. That's why when they are wrong, and get called out, they just say "have a nice day" and walk off.

This is what happens when you give someone with an IQ of a potato power over other people

I find that "I'm not going to argue with you on the side of the road" is code for "Well shite he's right but I'm still going to give him a ticket."

I loved when he said 10% over and the guy was like so 22 in a 20?

I moved to Crowley when I was 15. I walked about half a mile to the nearest store on a Sunday afternoon when a Crowley PD stopped me, told me to take my hands out of my pockets and started asking me "where my friends were".
First off, I was new to Crowley and none of my friends lived there. I answered every question he asked as any scared 15 year old would. A lady came out of her house and loudly told the cop that I wasn't the kid(s) she called about. The cop probably asked that woman 3-4 times if she were totally sure I wasn't one of them.
Once they got it straight, he told me to "go home". I mentioned I was going to the store and he again said "I told you to go home". I went home, told my mom and she called my grandfather and we went to the police station. She raised some hell but nothing happened. My mom wanted an apology. Never happened.
