Sure. Matt Gaetz joined with the Democrats and did what he did, but McCarthy was in charge of getting Republicans elected. He failed to deliver the funds and the votes to have the red wave we were supposed to have. If it wasn't for his failure here, he would have a larger majority and Gaetz would have been a non-issue.

I'd also say this is a failure to whip votes. Steve Scalise, and Tom Emmer play a part in their failure to whip votes accordingly.

Like or hate McCarthy's leadership - it doesn't matter. We're here because of him.

It's the conference's fault that they put in a speaker with a rule that a single member could vacate the chair. They let their backbenchers rule them.

Whatever…Rs have an 8-seat majority with an impending election year.

McCarthy sucks, but All we had to do was stop Biden’s major initiatives, handle the investigations of Biden, and not step in dog poo. And we would increase our majority in 24. And that would be the time to change leadership with a new SOTH.

But no. We had to air our dirty laundry in public, and we ended up stepping in poo.

Agree 100%. And you didn't even bring up the complete abdication of his job to reign in spending and be a check on Dems. Guy is a con man. He deserved it.

It was McCarthy's fault, but not for your reasons. He didn't live up to his promises and therefore reneged on the deal.

When you think the other guy is bluffing and you call his hand and it turns out he’s holding 4 aces…who’s fault is that?

Certainly not the guy holding all the cards.

Its his fault that the first vote was even taken. Since then I imagine great sums of cash are being thrown at a no vote for pubs then money will back a simp/est dem or rino.

Not all is bad news because you can see who believes what and who is a paid off money whore.

McCarthy promised but didn’t deliver.

How can anyone deny he’s not at fault for all this mess??

McCarthy raised more funds than any other GOP congressman and it wasn't even close.
