You seem to forget what Edwards did to Treen prior to 1983. It should be taught as a Master's class in politics. He effectively was able to populate Treen's administration with his people.

It was brilliant.

He was able to keep Sammy Nunez and John Alario in the positions he wanted them in

There is no such thing as a "moderate" Democrat. It's morons like you why we are in the shape we are in. Look at that idiot Pennsylvania voted in because the Republican candidate wasn't good enough for their standards. Look at the idiot we had for governor the last 8 years because the Republican candidates didn't meet your standards. The Democrats can run a functional retard and they will all vote for them but Republicans has to have the perfect candidate. If Landry had made to a run it wouldn't have been a land slide because the media would have given you some little thing to dislike about him.

Who is Landry popular with besides a few old coonasses, the “give Ed O a chance/pass because he’s one of us, talks like us” crowd?

Just seems like another below-average intelligence napoleon wanna-be.

Good luck, I don’t expect much.

JBE won two terms as a Dem in a red state. Landry has a ways to go to top that.

Louisiana is a red state in federal elections. We have seen Democrats win many statewide elections, including Kathleen Blanco, John Bel, and Mary Landrieu.

Crime probably the no. 1 problem in La right now right?

Have to imagine he's going to at least halfway keep that promise more than the JBE admin did

Why do people say this when he clearly ran against several people? And won a state that actually has more dem voters.

Do you live in this state?

Cuz that's pretty much all you have to say

No what's left to learn is exactly what was Landry's agreement with the trial attorneys in this state and will he force Congress to override a veto of a "good" bill because the ambulance chasers don't want it.

Interner user Tiger316 was at said meeting?

I want to know committee chairs and cabinet positions. So far I am not liking what I am hearing, but it is waay early to put a lot of stock in early rumors.

Spill it!

DeVillier and Henry should be a pretty nice combo for Speaker and Sen Prez. That’ll make some folks in Northern Acadia Parish quite happy.

For committee chairs, I’m really hoping we have folks who were amongst the more fiscal hawks the past couple session chairing Appropriations, Ways & Means and Finance.

It is pretty wild that Jindal went from state savior with a shot at the Whitehouse to a total pariah and being connected to him in anyway is now a political liability

Idiocracy has overtaken a significant portion of the conservative side as well. I see it all the time, folks using misspelled and untrue memes as political debate and speech.

Like I said, Landry has a ways to go to surpass JBE as a politician.
