Passing alone is arguably the top but When including rushing yards, His stats are way above the others .

He will win the Davey O’Brien award and maybe Maxwell but not Heisman if he keeps this up.

And he’s 5th in the SEC in rushing.

But but but weren’t some here adamant he wasn’t a good passing quarterback?? he wasn’t even deserving of the MVP award.

Daniels had a fine season in 2022 and is having even a better season so far this year. I just wish we could be saying the same thing about our defensive performance .

Meh, even Coach BK said that as well, cause it was true, once.

Do you remember the offseason when numbnuts on tRant literally wanted him to go pro or transfer again - just so he wouldn’t be at LSU anymore? I really wish I was making that up, but it happened.

The improvement since FSU to now is the biggest jump he’s made in his entire career across any span of time.

Strictly by statistics, he is more impressive than Burrow in 2019.

Burrow gets GOAT status bc of what he’s done in the NFL and that perfect season.

If JD5 keeps this pace up with the rushing on top of it, statistically it will be the most impressive season in history. Including 2019.

Penix has only been sacked 4 times. Says something about his OL. Whether JD wins the Heisman or not, he is the national MVP.How many games has he won for us this year?

He has without question taken that next step as a confident, accurate passer. He is making his reads and delivering strikes to WRs that can get YAC for explosive plays. Props to JD, our WRs and the OFF coaching staff. Keep it up; we have some VERY big games ahead of us.

Said that as well

Really? Coach said that the sixth ranked SEC quarterback in ratings in 2022 and the third best SEC quarterback in percentage of completion and the most valuable player on the team couldn’t pass?? Sorry, but you’re gonna have to direct me to that comment by coach.

Smooth runner. Looks like he is just gliding along yet hauling big time fast.

I disagree…and I think JD is GREAT. But…

76.3% passing, for 5671, with 60 TDs passing (65 total) and a 202.0 rating is borderline untouchable, even if you adjust for per game avg to account for 15 games.

But but but…. He wasn’t. It’s a fact. Last season, he had moments but he was woefully inconsistent. Too many sacks.
Not throwing to open receivers- I was at the games. They literally had to address it.

This year, he’s much more consistently throwing accurate passes and making better decisions. He is NOW a good passing qb. but he wasn’t THEN.
