quote:

Saudi Arabia has suspended plans to normalize relations with Israel amid the latter’s ongoing war with Palestinian Hamas militants, Reuters reported on Friday. Backed by the US, the deal would have been a diplomatic coup for Washington and a strategic blow to Iran.

quote:

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi spoke by phone on Wednesday, their first conversation since the two geopolitical rivals re-established diplomatic ties in a Chinese-brokered deal in March.

quote:

The sources stressed that the deal is not permanently scrapped, but that Riyadh will likely require any future agreement to include significant concessions to the Palestinians from the Israeli side.

quote:

Iran bitterly opposed the planned normalization deal, which would have seen its two primary regional opponents drawn closer together, with one entering a formal alliance with the US.

RT

It doesn’t matter how many Palestinians Israel kills. It doesn’t matter how many buildings Israel flattens.

Hamas and Iran, and China, have already achieved their strategic goal.

And the Biden Administration isn’t smart enough to stop or counter it.

What’s the fix?

And why didn’t Biden’s predecessor have a deal in place when he left office?

I don’t see any outcome that is a long term win for Israel. They literally can not win. They can get revenge. They can weaken their enemies. They can send messages. They can take land. But they can not win. The hatred is too ancient and Islam is too demonic.

If they think they have won then Israel needs to drive the Palestinians either into the sea or in to Egypt ending the Palestinian State forever.

End of story. now suck on that Iran

Oh, they can win.

They're what? 4-0 versus the Muslims?

We'd probably have to finance their military purchases but I have little doubt they would win an actual war just like they have every other time they've been attacked.

The Arabs have never shown themselves to be worth a damn in war.

I’m very pessimistic about where Islam is taking planet earth. I just can’t see a victory here when the enemy has embraced the teachings of Satan.

That might be nice but we all know that’s not going to happen.

Why didn't your messiah, Lord High Obama, wave his omnipotent hand and fix it? He had 8 years.

I get what you're saying, if anyone fixes anything. Tt won't be the piece of shite Democrats who armed and funded this terror attack.

Predecessor must have had something in place to avert it to begin with, because I don’t recall having any issue like this during the last administration. What do you think it was with the Trump administration that averted the situation to begin with?

If there are any left.

Sidenote: What am I missing re those 'Tunnels' that supposedly are so hard to attack. I could understand if they were in the middle of the mountains in Vietnam but in an area that is easily accessible to tanker trucks filled with gasoline I just don't get the problem. Big fans to move the fumes and the terrorists are literal toast. The hostages are gone any way you cut it. Better for them really, as a life of psychoses and nightmares would be worse.

I’m assuming it’s an issue of not knowing exactly where all the tunnels are. Maybe some are known, but perhaps they’ve been super duper secretive about a “handful” of others that are just not at all known to Israeli forces and intelligence.

Israel can win. They just have to stop being weak kneed bitches and go full barbarian no mercy on all their asses. Saudia Arabia isnt going to push to far and risk destabilizing relationships with us. Irans abilities and significance are significantly overblown and fear hyped consistently without end. If theyre such a threat why does it seem like they are never capable of anything put fighting a proxy war via Hamas who up until now has been downright pathetic.

Israel can win but it will take a whole scale slaughter to make them not even think about doing this again for hundreds of years which many in the world would condemn but Israel should give them the finger.

Wouldn't the fumes seek out the unknown tunnels, dj? They have to be vented for air, so an inside pressure would push the fumes. I know it's barbaric and would drive the opposition insane, but it seems pretty simple. No way would I send good folk into that death trap.

They're, ME oil countries, spending billions to make their countries tourist destinations as a hedge against lost energy income.

Someone suggested pumping them full of water.

Not a bad idea...
