My dad’s side of the family all live in DeRidder.
Many great memories visiting my grandparents there and hanging with the cousins.

These two high school football teams have played against each other over 100 times. The first game against each other was way back in 1910.

It was a Titanic Struggle for the Wampus Cats. DeRidder was in control and driving for a score that would put he game out of reach for the Wampus Cats.
Then a HUGE defensive stop turns the ball over to the Wampus Cats who drive for a score to take the lead.
Then with the Dragons needing a TD to take the lead, they drive to the Wampus Cats 5 yard line and are STOPPED in a dramatic Defensive play by the underdog Wampus Cat Defense.
What a great game.
