I should know this but why do we not wear purple (Home) jerseys more often for home games

because tradition holds that we wear white.

Our White Jerseys with Gold helmets and Pants is iconic.

It was Dietzel who started the Home White tradition because it was to freaking hot during day games and at night for that matter.

This led to a superstitions that not only were the white ones good luck, but that the purple ones were cursed similar to Notre Dame fans and the green jerseys.
