So let me get the timeline of the "Holy Land" down so I can figure out what Hamas wants.

Who controlled the Holy Land over time:

Pre-Persian Empire - Assyrian/Egyptian/Babylonians/ other SE Asian powers

Persia
Macedonia
Romans
Byzantines
Arabs
Crusaders
Different Caliphates
Ottomans

Post WW1 it was a British Colony

Yes I know I am oversimplifying for the sake of shortening the post.

So why do the Palestinians get to claim it is "their" land? It seems as though through the history of the land, the powerful took and kept it. Arabs included.

It seems as though Hamas wants to keep playing by these rules but gets upset when the Israelis play it too.

You can't rape and plunder on 1 hand then get pissed when the other side fights back. That has been going on there for thousands of years. You started it. Now you get other side of the coin.

The US shouldn't get involved but if Israel has the ability to take Gaza they have every right too under the rules Hamas laid out.

Hamas is just saying out loud what the other Arab nations truly believe...that the land/country given to the Jews by the UN does not belong to the Jews. They want it "back" and will always want it back. If it takes war to get it, so be it.

But they also know Israel has powerful allies that can easily help defeat Hamas (and really any other Arab nation). So they need to prevent those Allies from joining the fray. Given the Western World's compassionate sentiment to "Palestinians"....even if it is largely vapid virtue signaling by the Leftist in charge...they know if they can paint Israel as the monster in their response to the attack Israel's allies will be FAR less likely to get involved. Because the last thing the US and Western Europe wants to be viewed as is Islamophobic...even towards terrorists

They aren't "pissed" Israel is responding. That was 100% expected. They are simply trying to shift the Western public sympathy towards their plight

Zionists bought and paid for the land. IT was worthless when they bought it and now that it's been cultivated, the very people who sold it to them want it back.

LINK
From 1882 when the modern Zionist chronological clock started
ticking to May 15, 1948 when the state of Israel was declared, the Jewish population in Palestine grew from
25,000 to 650,000; in the same period Jewish land acquisition grew from several hundred thousand dunams (a
dunam equals a quarter of an acre) to 2 million dunams. In the period from 1882 to January 1948, 315 Jewish rural
settlements were established in Palestine. 3 By 1939, before one-third of world Jewry was destroyed in the
Holocaust, a geographic and demographic nucleus for a Jewish state was present in Palestine. By that date,
450,000 Jews and 67% of all the land Jews would purchase were already in Jewish hands. By the same year, Arabs
in Palestine and elsewhere in the Middle East were fully cognizant of the reality that the Zionists were on the verge of creating a state.

Has Israel asked the US to get involved? Serious question - I'm not saying that haven't, just that I haven't seen any discussion of a request for the US to 'get involved.'

FWIW I think the best thing the US can do is step back and stay out of Israel's way.

Hamas is counting on bleeding hearts to save them from any accountability for what they have done.

Hamas is attempting to play on cultural marxism or as many see the totality of it encompassing "woke" as a weapon to wield.

more or less what I said however the woke are 100x worse than what we would call a bleeding heart in the 90s or early 2000s. Those people rallied around america after 9/11. The woke would say we deserve it and side with osama.

Jews want Muslims to be perpetual victims so they can perpetuate the savage vs civilized dichotomy instead of forcing Muslims to adapt and potentially compete on level playing field. It’s the same reason democrats want their base to always feel like victims.
Clearly defined hierarchies always help those in power.

The whole concept of being anti-colonialism requires you to pinpoint a "starting point" to say that "these people" own the land and future owners will be colonizers.

It's almost all bullshite. There's only like 3 countries on Earth that are ruled by the original inhabitants, and even those could be bullshite.

Just like women today.

They want old world chivalry;
Mixed with new world benefits.

You gotta pick one and not the best of both.
