it is clear that the Palestinians have never wanted to solve this issue, other than the total destruction of the Jewish population living in Israel.

Also, the Palestinians have become more violent and vicious, as have their Muslim supporters.

I'm not sure I agree with some of this. Palestine says they want total destruction, but when that happens, what keeps current leadership in power? The current leadership's platform is destruction, not prosperity. If they really wanted to destroy Israel, they would nuke it tomorrow.

Which leads to the supporters question. You have the Iranians and Syrians, becuase their leadership's platform is destroying the great satan (USA) to distract from the awful leadership they have. But many muslim nations have really turned around on this issue and do not support Israeli destruction.

And somehow we just gave iran $6b and refused to freeze it. This was their victory lap. Joe Biden is the franchisee.

When the Jews are gone, intra-Islamic sectarian violence will rule.

Regarding colonialism, it's always convenient who they think is the rightful inhabitant of a place.

Most patches of ground on Earth have been inhabited by different people over thousands of years and even over the last hundred years.

Israel is no different. It's been inhabited by Jews, Christians, Muslims; held my multiple countries and groups (including the UN).

Naming a starting point and saying: "These people are entitled to this land" is dishonest. And to claim colonialism, you have to do that.

It is already a sad fact of life and if Israel disappeared tomorrow, would be even worse. "Muslims" are no more a homogenous block than any other group we conventiently group together in our minds.

And once you realize that, it's a lot easier to understand that very few pieces of ground "belong" to some distinct tribe(s). Most ground has been fought over for centuries. Very few groups have a historical or divine right to their ground.

Don't overlook the British role in engineering the alSaud/alWahab alliance back the early 19th century. They deliberately weaponized Islam to weaken the Sikhs and later the Ottomans.

There's too much overthinking in this thread. I personally don't give a rat's arse about the history of the area or any of the arguments about who should get what.

For me, it's uncomplicated as hell. I ask myself. "If Israel didn't even exist.......I mean......like not only not in the mid-east, but nowhere. ZERO Jews on the planet.......would Islam still be an abhorrent worldwide virus?"

The answer is yep.

So, I don't have to like Israel. I don't have to support their cause. None of that. I simply oppose Islam's goals............everywhere.

You need to understand the protest class. My first indoctrination came at MIT when I was a grad student. VP Bush was scheduled to speak and a protest was planned. Having never seen a protest, I decided to swing by. There were about a thousand people attending but they represented dozens of "causes". No more than 20 or 30 stood with any one cause. After a time, I realized what I was witnessing was a social event - entertainment for a certain type of person. I don't think anything has changed. These types are what I said above - a protest class. They will always exist and always find a cause but the cause is secondary to the social aspects.

Imagine living in a country where a Govt that hates you controls your power supply, food supply, water supply, and routinely shuts them off. The same govt doesn't allow you to build oil refineries or hospitals or any real industry. Doesn't allow you to fish in the huge sea that's on your western border.

Now, how long would you live in that country before you started to hate that govt?

I have NO love for any Arab or Jew. I'm not picking sides. But I can understand Palestinian frustration with Israel.

I think it was understood that I am referring to neutral observers in the original post. I certainly understand how the parties involved can hate each other.
