No we can’t. I’m sure we will be called out for being a week and flacid crowd.

Having said all that, I think LSU is seriously lagging behind other SEC schools in the fan experience department.

I go to a lot of away games too and I think what you’re discounting is that LSU is a big game for everyone we play so you’re seeing the best versions of those experiences, whereas at LSU you’re seeing the ups and the downs.

That is a very good point. Its also very possible that after going to games for so long, it doesn't have quite the same impact of experiencing another stadium for the first time.

So, people are overcrowding the few free lots left, and the paid lots are not being filled, creating traffic coming out of those few particular lots?

I’m sure the paid lots are full but you don’t necessarily get to choose which lot you park in. So where you park may not be the most efficient spot based on your route. Multiply this by several thousand and it creates extra cars on the road.

Most of the free lots have been pushed out to River Road so now everyone that does not have a parking pass has to come across campus to get to the free lots. 10 years ago you could park at the first free spot you saw in any of lots across campus. (Excluding the paid lots next to the stadium)

10 years ago the free lots didn’t have a bunch of barnie fife cops forcing people to park in the free lots in a “orderly” fashion. You could ride through the free lot and position yourself for a quick escape. Now you have to park where they tell you to park.

The biggest problem with the cops is that once they declare a lot full it is done for the day. They will not let new cars into the lot no matter how many tailgaters leave campus. So now everyone has to get campus three to four hours before kickoff instead of trickling in throughout the day. This means that peak concentration of traffic is pushed to 3 to four hours before kickoff and the cops that are “directing” traffic are still sitting around letting the traffic signals control traffic which obviously aren’t programmed for a game day traffic load.

To make it even more fun once the people drive to River Road and the lots have been declared full they now have nowhere to go so River Road basically becomes a parking lot.

I live 3.5 miles from the stadium. I used to be able to leave my house an hour before kickoff park in the levee lots and make it to my seats in time to watch pregame. For the Arkansas game I left my house almost four hours before kickoff and it still took over an hour to get to a parking spot and most of the free lots were already declared full.

I recognize that LSU will never give up the revenue but to me this is the major reason why traffic situation around the games will not improve.

They should give away upper deck tickets if not sold 1 hour before the game starts. I mean they would make money off the concessions ! We need all the noise necessary for the team! Geaux Tigers!

And prices are so high for tickets.
You can easily buy a ticket for way under Face outside the stadium for any game except for Alabama every other season.

95% of the idiots sitting in hours of traffic leaving the game are self inflicted. I’ve never had issue with traffic leaving the games because I don’t park in pay lots with all the masses and don’t try to take the same main route that everyone else is trying to take. It’s not rocket science.

Oh okay

So if the other 102,000 fans follow your "not rocket science plan"... the traffic woes will be mysteriously resolved.

Brilliant

Unpopular opinion. I know that’s the highlight of a lot of peoples lives.

I've gotten to this point. It's just no longer any fun for me. Once a year is fine, but doing that for every game no longer floats my boat. I don't really watch them that often on TV, but will listen to them while I'm in my truck or follow them on Gamecast when I'm out and about.

Tickets sold (sellout) does not fill all the seats.

Auburn at night in perfect weather should be a no brainer for ticket holders.

Went to Arkansas game. Had an amazing time other than after traffic due to it being a close game.

It was bad but honestly, just bring some drinks and snacks and listen to the postgame. I know it does deter some however. It seems like if the city put a ramp from Dalrmple to the 10 east instead of those extra couple of blocks then doing a uturn. Also contra flow Stanford for even an hour would take a lot of pressure off.

No one gives a shite about your son’s travel ball team. He probably won’t even make his high school team.

This mentality is why Penn state and Ohio state and others have passed us up with atmosphere in the stadium. They always have a packed house. People are too damn lazy and would rather do nothing all day now.
