Well, we got three years of Russiagate fraud and WMD in Iraq from the best in the business, so...

quote:I said it in this thread near the beginning... The hostages were already gone, human "sunk costs". The fact that 4 got out since then is a miracle. I think it's going to be messy and force tough choices. They've had weeks/months/years to plan & booby trapped the tunnels to suck Israeli soldiers in before blowing them. If the IDF doesn't want to face that you're going to see the tunnels blown with the hostages buried alive.
I have a feeling once the ground invasion starts, the hostages will be executed, unfortunately.
I suspect the announcement of a time being set as US forces are taking fire from Iran isn't a coincidence. Bibi likely has finally received assurances that the US will help defend against Hezbollah in the north as the IDF focuses on Gaza.
It's been addressed in other parts of the thread, China going into Taiwan is the result if we don't back Israel. It's pretty obvious that we're sharing tech with Australia so they can be a de facto proxy for the US in the SCS.

As opposed to our MSM who just make up stories out of thin air and attribute them to “unnamed sources”.

Whether it comes from this guy or damn near the whole of our media reporting the Israelis blew up a hospital on nothing more than the word of a terrorist group.

A well informed American official told me that the Israeli leadership is known to be considering flooding Hamas's vast tunnel system before sending in its troops
I simply don't think it is possible to flood the tunnels to any significant degree. None of the people that have worked the problem and I have read or watched think it is possible either on any significant scale. One can't forget there are supposedly 300 miles of tunnels.

Just throwing it out there, if I were coming up with ideas I'd consider flooding just to create a thermal difference and use thermal cameras to make a rough map of the tunnels as the water ran through them.

Both U.S. and Israeli Officials have now Confirmed that Prime Minister Netanyahu has Agreed to Delay the Invasion of the Gaza Strip until the U.S. Military is able to move more assets into the Region including at least 12 Air Defense Systems, for the Interception of Cruise and Ballistic Missiles as well as Rockets and Drone, which are set to be spread across multiple Countries in the Middle East including Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Sorry, man, but I am going to have to ask you to leave the thread with your nonsense...thanks
if nothing else, this conflict has certainly drawn out the antisemites. it's odd to me they all seem to come from one side of the pollical aisle that is quick to call others "nazi's".

Just change August to Autumn. This is looking far more like WW1 than WW2. (The only thing shared with WW2 is known alliances vs somewhat secret alliances.)

Hell, one of the strangest things I've seen during all of this was someone calling the Israelis nazis, and not facetiously.

We got some hands we can pull off a job and send them over to pig those tunnels like a pipeline.

Meaningless symbolic gestures, but begs the question about what they wish to symbolize.

I hate to say it but I don't see how the hostages can really be included in any type of realistic calculus at this point
They've turned lose all they are gonna turn lose it would seem. However many that are left that are actually alive are in a very bad situation. The only way they will be saved if by operations to rescue them and said operations themselves might kill them and if they don't the terrorists holding the hostages will not to mention the likelihood of high casualties the operations themselves would have
There's a reason they took these hostages, they know that "we" will do everything we can possibly think of to try to save them and that "we" don't have the stomach to admit they are a lost cause and go forward with what needs to be done
It would be interesting to know what Isreal's reaction to this up til now would've been if they hostages didn't exist

I agree. Hostages are “dead”. Decision makers are better off pretending as if every hostage died when the rest of them did that day.
You can shite on Russia for a lot of things, but they were right in their dealings with Chechen terrorists.
