I was walking out of the Arkansas game with the wife and some friends. We were walking up Highland near the Weinerschnitzel and I remarked how I was amazed that that place had survived but the Taco Bell that was once near there had closed down.

I was then subjected to much ridicule and heavy insults as everyone in the group claimed that I must have drunk away all of my memory cells because there was never a Taco Bell there. This has been bothering me for two weeks. Am I nuts or was there once a fricking Taco Bell on Highland just North of The Chimes? It would have been 1998-2000 or so.

Didn’t it turn into Jack-in-the-Box?

There definitely was a Taco Bell there between 1998-2000. Not sure what happened to it.

Same here.

Then it was an empty lot for a while before Jack in the Box built there.

Is this the spot, OP?

There was absolutely a Taco Bell there in 1998-2000. On the left if you were headed north. It was close to the fields where the band used to practice.

Wienerschnitzel was there as well and they put chili on everything.

90s checking in.. There was most definitely a Taco Bell right next to the Weinerschnitzel.. I never once went to the Weinershcnitzel but i, and my friends, were at that Taco Bell a MINIMUM of three nights per week… or should i say, early mornings… simply could not end a night out at Sports , or the Tiger, without gong all the way across campus to the Taco Bell .
