In my 70 years of watching LSU football...

I have never witnessed an LSU defense as horrible as I saw tonight! What horrible defensive coaching we have and what terrible players we have on defense, with a couple exceptions. It starts up front and those guys are horrendous. LB's can't cover passes, can't blitz, and can't tackle, and finally this group of DB's played scared and soft, fail to cover receivers, and worst of all, CAN'T TACKLE!

were you in a coma in 1998? We were 3-0 and #6 in the country then lost 7 Games and couldn’t stop a cold. It looks to be similar but not quite as bad.

Soft play calling leads to a soft mentality on defense, which leads to miss tackles. Just man them up and blitz your freakiest athletes.

It looks as if they don't even try.
What makes it worse is when they finally do make a play they flex and beat their chest.
I'm all for swag, but when you can't back it up just shut up and go back to your position.

There has to be a word worse than terrible. That's what the lsu D is. On 1 play, the defense had 3 defenders around a wr with the ball, and the wr walked into the endzone untouched.

Defensive staff needs to be whiped clean. Started fresh. Thry arent recruiting very well on that side and apparently arent coaching either.

I remember. Of course LSU was up 30 but why would that matter on defensive intensity, right?
