Heading to Branson on Thursday with Mrs jkyle and kids (5&14) and planning to check out Silver Dollar City. We will be going to park on 10/6 (a Friday ). For those of you that have been, how bad are the lines for the rides? Is it worth it to buy the Trailblazer pass (express pass). I’m seeing they have a regular version for 55$ and an unlimited for 85$. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Haven’t gone since 2014 but most days you could walk on rides. Use to live in NWA and had a yearly pass. Some fun rides

Time traveler is the only ride that can get long lines. The rest aren’t that bad. Make sure to do the cave tour. Eat breakfast at Billy Gail’s

I appreciate the replies. I think we’ll hold off on the pass then.

Time Traveler was an awesome coaster.

I went over the summer with my kids and parents. It rained a little earlier in the day and tempered the crowds. Not sure how it would have been otherwise.

Went to Silver Dollar City last year during the last week of October. It was outstanding. The fall foliage was great, the weather was great, and the entire park was decorated with pumpkins and lights.

I think you will be fine on a Friday. You might check into buying a season pass as you get some free passes to go along with it, but I think you can only use 1 at a time. Might save you a few $.

Make sure and ride the old version of Fire in the Hole. It's closing at the end of 2023.

Read that and I plan to. Do you think it would be too scary for a 5 yr old ? Trying to find a couple “adult” rides he can do.

Well, it's been nearly 100 years since I rode it. But it's a very old style roller coast and as I remember, it really mostly has one big drop when they yell "Fire in the Hole" and some steam and fire stuff is on either side of you. I think the problem with adult style rides for a 5 year old is usually size. Most roller coasters have a "You must be this tall" sign for safety purposes. I remember these signs very clearly as I wasn't tall enough for just about anything till I was 11-12. It looks like I probably rode this ride the first year it was open and several times since. It's exactly how I remember.

Thanks for info. Just left the park. We did fire in the hole first and it scared him a little but not too bad. Glad we didn’t waste money on the fast pass bc I never waited over 20 mins for anything. Most rides were 15 mins or less.
