I guess it's similar to when he allowed Comey to remain the FBI director, or allowed Sessions to recuse himself, or appoint Wray as the FBI director, or Bill Barr to run the DOJ.
I'm growing uneasy with Trump. He talks a big game and that's it. He did hold up on his end of the bargain on SCOTUS and immigration. For that I'm grateful

Y'all act like all presidential appointments are personal hires like a manager hires a direct report. Hell, direct reporting hires in regular business don't work out sometimes.
At least Trump is transparent enough to say how he feels about this particular appointment. Most presidents just let the idiocy go and not call it out to avoid conflict.
