This is what is wrong with Washington. Passes stupid worthless admendments just for clicks and never gets anything done.
A bill like this will never pass full congress.

The best political move would be to cut the President, VP, Cabinet, and themselves to $1 a year during any shutdown.
The sneaky part would be that Congress wouldn't be affected this time, thanks to the 27th Amendment.

Lets cut our taxes to $1. Then we don’t have to shut gov down it will auto destruct.
Next year I’d like to see a shutdown on 1 Oct as well but lasting until after the elections. That might slow down the 3 letters helping the commies rig stuff
