Advocate Article

This kid has been putting up video game numbers this year. Played offense and defense as a freshman, now the starting QB as a sophomore. I don't follow Carencro football that close, but I've heard from some that he's the best athlete on that campus since Kevin Faulk. He seems like he can do it all on the football field and is apparently a big baseball prospect as well.

Anyone here follow this kid that can elaborate on where he projects at the next level? I searched his name here, but not too much chatter about him to this point.

Seems like he could pick his position. He’s passed for 1,202 yards, completing 61 of 98 with 13 TDs, only one interception, and is averaging almost 10 ypc. Has almost 300 more passing yards than the second leading QB in the area, which is JuJuan Johnson.

Holds several school records for receiving and passing. Ran for 185 on 7 carries with four TDs last week.

Clean, is he equally as good on the baseball field like my "insiders" tell me? I'm sure your sources are better than mine.

Dang! Carencro beat the snot out of Sulphur. I haven't followed Louisiana high school football since I moved out of state, but Sulphur used to be pretty decent. Are they terrible this year or is Carencro just that good?

Regardless, those are some damn impressive stats from Babineaux.

He’s playing at such a high level in Class 5A football that it’s astonishing.

Hard to compare. In baseball, you’re killing it if you get a hit 3 times out of 10.

I do know that he plays travel baseball against top competition

I think it's more Carencro is that good. They beat Barbe 60-14 in week 2.

I was told from a former coach that he could get drafted out of high school in baseball.

Chantz and my son are best friends since 5 years old. Our families watch LSU games every weekend together. He is the best athlete I have ever seen. He is better at football than baseball but he is also very good at baseball. I see him playing safety at the next level. With that being said, he makes shite happen when the ball is in his hands.

If he grows an inch or two I think teams will want him at QB. These nouveau OC's want dual-threat improvisers like him.

When he went to bama and LSU camps, he worked out with the WRs. He is working on his 40 time. 4.6-4.7 range but plays faster.

Politics have basically ruined Sulphur football.

I’m at Carencro for the game vs Comeaux.

Babineaux needs only 50 yards to break the school’s single season passing record.

Sorry for the delay.

Check out Carencro at No. 3 on the list. Babineaux's passing info is on there.
