I really hope the US wins the Ryder Cup, but the Euro team seems WAY better.

I bought the koolaid that the great up and coming golfers are American and we are about to start dominating this event….

Looking at the teams, not going to lie we look out matched

Vs

Hope I’m wrong, but 4/5 best players are on Europes team IMO.

I am curious as how the captains pair guys up for the first 2 days. As in the past, I expect Jordan and JT together. On the European side, I humorously want Rahm and Hatton together. They could be mic'd up and provide loads of commentary after each bad shot. Mutterings in English and Spanish.

We got them talent wise. They got bigger nuts though.

Who is the fourth guy better than every American but Scheffler? I definitely think an argument can be made for Rory, Rahm, and Hovland, but who is the other guy? Fleetwood?

I think so.

Scheffler is up there as one of the best.

Scheffler, Rahm, Rory, Hovland easily top 4

Fleetwood has an argument for top 5

Scottie
Rory
Rahm
Hovland

Who else on those teams is indisputably better than Fleetwood right now?

The euro team always seems to have more motivation and fiery players. Winning over there for the first time in 30 years doesn’t seem in the cards this time.

I think Cantlay, Schauffele, Homa and Fitzpatrick are better than Fleetwood, but I don't think indisputably better. Fleetwood definitely is in that 2nd tier.

This is definitely going to be interesting. I think it will be close. I think Europe definitely has the top end talent and the US has more depth.

Top 10 in my opinion based on current form, recent form, big events, etc in no particular order

Rahm
Rory
Scottie
Hovland
Xander
Cantlay
Koepka
Homa
Fitz
Spieth

So America still has more of the top 10, while Europe likely a little more firepower at the very top

Is it his zero career PGA Tour wins that does it for you? He’s behind 7 US players in the OWGR and he’s also not as good as Koepka

Aberg might scare me more than Fleetwood. The young guys with tons of talent always seem to make a lot of noise in these things. This would be his first big event in the spotlight so it could go either way. But if he’s ready and feeds into on it, watch out. Kid is a stud.

Dude what?

Pretty sure he was leading strokes gained putting on the last 3-4 tour events.

He was on fire. Sunk that insane 18 footer to force playoff in Canada I think. Still lost but putting was good.

There is no purer swing and ball striker than fairway Jesus. Incredible to watch in person. That draw…

Just matchup Harmen with their best each round and he will waggle them to death.

I,think we are fricked but it’s golf and whichever team has hot putters will win. Zach Johnson said in a press conference today or yesterday, that the 6 players that were in on points basically told him to pick who, they wanted to play with. Which explains why we picked players that were not trending. Meanwhile Europes picks were all pretty much trending except Lowry and Rose. Keegan has more wins this calendar year than anyone on our team and DJ was 5-0 in the last Ryder Cup. The players that are not on the team from Whistling Straits were responsible for 11 of,the 19 points we got.

Correct. He is playing as well as anyone on the planet right now.
