It would be even dumber for Russia as they'd be facing off against the whole of NATO. The United States alone already has an overwhelming population advantage against the Russian Federation (330 million vs. 143 million). Combine that with the rest of NATO and....oof.

You think a war with the US, Russia, and NATO would come down to population advantage?

For what good reason does a war with Russia serve the American people? What is the objective we are trying to achieve? Weakening Russia? And if we did weaken Russia, how exactly would that be a positive achievement?

I just don't see Russia as being an existential threat to America. We have enough of that kind of thing in DC already.

When you combine NATO together, they have just as many nukes as the Russian Federation. What else you got?

You said it exactly.

U.S. brass expects a war between the United States, her allies, and the Peoples Republic of China before the end of the decade. It would be a lot easier not having to worry about Russia taking advantage of the situation by making aggressive moves into eastern Europe.

Why do you people post stuff like this? Seriously, do you think this is going to be some ground invasion like the war in Iraq you’re watching on CNN and Fox News? I don’t think you’re stupid, but you’re making me think otherwise.

You may not think I'm stupid. However, you somehow linking nukes with a ground invasion makes me think you are.

I hope I am correct in saying that modern warfare will most likely be fought with precision weapons instead of nukes. Nukes would invariably ensure mutual destruction and enormous mass casualties beyond anything we can imagine.

I do like talking to you on other boards, but you’re being ignorant. The term you need to familiarize yourself with is “mutual assured destruction”.

Which is why Russia and NATO will never directly face off against each other in a war. Hence, why they ain't doing shite about us helping the Ukrainians. It was the same way with them helping the NVA during the Vietnam War.

Your “argument” was perceived by me as wanting direct US and NATO involvement. I may have misunderstood.

We all know this is a proxy war between the USA and Russia, the question is, how far are they going to take it?

This is a war between NATO and Russia.

In the middle are two Russian states within Ukraine, and a fake Ukrainian government.

Our Country has been at war since its infancy, and we have brought much of it on ourselves.

Imperialism is the devil.

Disagree.

Peace is for the women....and the weak. Empires are forged by war.

I’m pretty sure that is not accurate. It’s been several years since I looked up the number of nuclear warheads countries have but at that time Russia’s number of nuclear warheads outnumbered NATO powers warheads by about a thousand. And we’ve reduced our arsenal a little since then.

From Wikipedia:

quote:

Russia possesses a total of 5,889 nuclear warheads as of 2023, the largest stockpile of nuclear warheads in the world; the second-largest stockpile is the United States' 5,428 warheads. Russia's deployed missiles (those actually ready to be launched) number about 1,674, second to the United States' 1,770.

No doubt, we are full blown involved here and with other incidents. God bless Trump to save lives on both sides and end this Biden military industrial complex bs war.
