That’s his stash. We all have one. Here’s mine as of today…

The first thing I did after putting the Pz. II on the shelf was to pick this Hasegawa 1:48 scale P-40E kit from the stash. Getting started on it now.

FTR, I’ve taken today off work. I normally don’t get to do this on a Friday.

Beautiful build...one nit about the kit though...why isn't the soldier in the turret wearing the Panzertruppen beret?

Looks great!

Curious....what is your favorite type of model to build (tanks, planes, boats, etc.)? Looks like you lean toward tanks. I guess a better question to ask is if you could only build one, what would it be?

Thanks for sharing your work!

That’s how the kit came. Plus, by the time of the French campaign, the Schutzmütze, as the Germans called it, was beginning to be phased out.

You guessed right. Armor is my favorite subject, particularly WWII era German armor. I do also enjoy building aircraft, also WWII era, though I don’t have a preference for any particular nationality. But I do tend to build more early war aircraft than late war. If I had to stick to one or the other though, it would be armor. I’m an old tanker myself, so naturally tanks interest me more. Though I do love aircraft as well.

Have you ever done any seafaring vessels, particularly sailing ships?

No. I work from home now and all my models are safe at home.

I’ve done four ships over the years…

Back to front, left to right…
USS Missouri (just an awful kit from Ridell)
USS Manchester
USSArizona (built that over 25 years ago)
USS Massachusetts (built that for my son when he was about 5)

I also have a USS South Dakota and. WWI era German dreadnaught Markgraf in my to-do stash.

That’s why I have an office dedicated to building and displaying my models.
