It’s the summer of 2000 again…

Do I remember, just moved into a new house and paid to seed Bermuda grass in my yard and nice topsoil in my yard. It all got eaten by birds and blew away in the dust bowl. Could not water it enough to get anything to grow. 9 months of dust then winter hit and it was another 3 months of mud before the weeds finally started to grow. Now i have a hodge podge of Bermuda and centipede in my yard.

Yeah, I got a co-angler spot in the BASS Top 150 held that year at Bayou Segnette. I was trying to turn some of the pros I was fishing with on to some last minute spots before returning to the weigh-in area. We were catching speckle trout where we normally caught bass...

I see 6 colors on the map and only 5 colors in the legend? Am I retard? Most of the state is in the unknown color range.

You can compare two weeks here:
Drought Monitor

Different months, but here is a comparison to the worst period of the drought of record (at least during the US Drought Monitor Era)for LA from late 2010 to early 2012. The way they do the colors and layout is a little different, but the comparison stands.

We still need to really hope that this one doesn't linger like the other one.
