Figured I’d ask why they don’t have turtle exclusion devises like trawlers while I was at it. Just another regulation they have avoided over the years.
Net design. Study up n purse seining vs trawling. Tigerprawn gave the best explanation as to why they die.

Tidewater which most of Omegas boats are old Tidewater boats
The old pogey boats were built to fish pogey by Zapata. Some of the companies such as the one in Abbeville are using adapted oilfield boats.

I was involved in some of the conversions from oilfield OSV’s to pogie boats. I’m very familiar

Can you please repost that Jeff Landry is a possible contributor to this so that anyone can research for themselves and vote for anyone that is willing to solve this crisis?
Another poster has it in this thread and it's on the thread on Outdoor Board. It was in response to CCA concerns put in question form to the gubernatorial candidates. Landry gave a chicken shite wishy washy answer that said he doesnt want to mess with commercial fishing and every other candidate stated clearly they were in favor of the 1 Mile buffer which wouldn't solve the problem but a step in the right direction.

The trial attorneys are in bed with the pogie rapists. Beside Hensgens, the biggest obstacle is Senator Connick, the shyster of shysters. Both are on Omega and Daybrook’s payroll.

Let me correct something dude, trial lawyers are not in bed with them. They are associated with the mob the best i remember and use mob lawyers.
I helped get the one mile barrier in Mississippi adopted btw, but Jackson County refused when I was involved

Reedville, VA is in fact just a little north of Richmond

It's the indiscriminate killing of breeding stock game fish. Redfish, Tarpon, and other types of fish valued by fisherman are taken out along with the targeted pogeys. These are breeding stock fish which are killed and not able to further produce. This is how a sustainable renewable fishing stock gets depleted. These FOREIGN companies are raping and depleting a valuable resource for Louisana and it's citizens.
But god forbid I have a 15 3/4” redfish on my boat.
The biggest problem is we all allow this to happen. We continue to vote in these people then turn the other way or put our hands out or get in a message board and complain yet don’t actually stand up and sky scream to make it stop. This will be forgotten about next week and some other corrupt scandal will come to light.
And Jeff Landry is an absolute piece of shite that I wouldn’t vote for dog catcher.

Missed it. What did he cover? The more publicity these fish kills get, the more pressure it brings. And WTF is with the processing plants? Any refinery that smelled like that would be shut down by the environmental agencies with the swiftness. And where are the NGO’s that claim to care about the environment?? Oh, they don’t get any Bloomberg bucks for going after pogy plants.

you can go back and listen to it....he had the guy from CCA on and he basicaly said their hands are tied until we get a new governor, and that Jeff Landry is the only candidate that wont commit to moving the boats further out to a 1 mile buffer, all the other candidates said they will...he said JBE has made it clear that he wont do anything
