Correct me if I’m wrong but he never played against Arkansas. Why not save it for auburn? Maybe scheduling conflict.

It doesn't matter. He was a great Tiger and I believe the only LSU Quarterback to start all 4 seasons.

You’re questioning one the best lsu players ever being a captain against a sec rival?

It’s time to put the phone down, turn the phone and tv off, go outside and touch some grass baw.

Had a PSYC class with him and it was Mike Archer's first year.

Professor asked him one day if practices were intense because Archer was trying to make a mark.

Hodson said "I don't know - they don't hit ME".

He was a good dude - let him wave and get some applause. That's all I got.

Kinda odd you'd start a thread like this honestly. Why does that even matter?

Herb Tyler was a 4 year starter, Hodson was the only QB to be all-SEC 4 times

Just asking a question my dude. Why not just present the rings to the baseball team this week. Why wait until Florida? If it all doesn’t matter.

Inthink it is weird. Maybe players who were involved in some way with an Arkansas game should be there

BUT
Im 49. If you are around my age Hodson was your lsu football idol

More like 3.25. He didn't become the starter until fairly late in his freshman season. Arky (who won the west that year) was one of his notable wins.

Maybe being persnickety, but Herb took over after the dirt bag's dad got hurt in '95. Don't remember which game but it was after the Auburn game. But yes, Herb started most of '95.

ETA: ATLTiger is correct. Herb only started 4 games in '95.

Maybe it's the only day they could lock him down to attend? Why save it for Auburn? You think any of the current Auburn players know who Tommy Hodson is?

Maybe because we beat Florida in the final series? But hey, what do I know?

Nah, Herb got like 4 starts. Howard had 7, and I'm pretty sure Melvin Hill had 1 (the purple pants UK game?)

His dad was my PE coach/teacher at Lockport Jr High when he announced he was going to attend LSU. Good times.
