I know he’s not EVERYWHERE… but he kinda came out of nowhere and all the sudden he was king hot shite and I’m seeing him more and more…
I don’t find him to be an above average actor and definitely not super attractive…
Is it because of Hamilton? It’s because of Hamilton.
Never seen it.

We do?
For real. And I’m wondering why.

In his sphere, he's as successful as it gets.
I mean, how hard is it to make a Broadway musical have a cultural impact in the US? Realistically, the last success on that scale was probably CATs in the mid-80s. So yeah, you get once-in-a-generation success in a particular sphere of art culture, to make it broader pop culture relevant, and you will get recognized.
Hell, most of America can identify a tomato soup can painter with little discernable talent, from a half century ago. A mediocre ditty writer isn't that much of a stretch.

Idk man, probably bc dude created the most popular/ successful musical in decades

You realize he's not just an actor in Hamilton, right? He's the creator of the musical.
Apparently he's also behind the soundtracks for Moana and Encanto, two movies that are massively popular for their soundtracks.
Why are you upset that someone with that kind of success is getting attention? Seriously, what's to be confused about?

He'll forever be in my heart as the crazy guy who raps bad on House.

Also write the music to Moana which my kids love. The guy is pretty damn talented
