quality of life is about more than how much money you spend.
I'd be fine with having less money in my bank account if i had everything I needed taken care of and less worries that if I frick around and get cancer I'll be destitute.

I'd still rather live in the USA

Average home size and median income please.

A bunch of "diversity is our strength" in that list.

You act like that doesn’t come at a cost. A producer could have all of that and more, but had to surrender a piece of his success so a leech can have it too.

Have you considered prison? Everything is taken care of.

According to Numbeo, the cost of living in Sweden is, on average, 20.9% lower than in the United States
I've been to Sweeden and find this very hard to believe.

Yeah, when the middle class is paying 50% income tax you better get something in return. Having the government take money out of your paycheck to provide you with a service is not the same thing as "free". That's like saying we get free "protection" from F-16s and Destroyers. Yeah, no, we pay for that shite every week.

Sweden is telling women not to wear jewelry in public right now. They will be a 3rd world shithole from the imports sooner than later.
Canada is the most unserious country in Western Civilization. They arrested Jeremy MacKenzie and declared the Emergencies Act over a meme about forming a fake country called Diagolon who’s leader was a meth smoking goat named Philip (see my sig)

Give me more money and control over how it’s spent.
I wonder how much faith the public has in politicians and unelected officials there. How corrupt are the Swedish politicians compared to the US?

this is the thing the socialist like to keep ignoring.
they basically "force" everybody to buy unemployment insurance and it lasts less than a year, so if you're able bodied, you have to go to work. then you have to be employed for 6 more months at 20 hours a week before it could kick in again.
if you don't have people who can bank on that for the rest of their life, then you'll have less abuse.
i've long been an advocate of free trade school that gives unemployment benefits the longer you work. if you choose not to take the government up on the free school fine, but nobody gets unemployment unless you've worked a set amount of time.

I know how to change that quickly
Posted on 9/18/23 at 11:42 am to PillPusher
We all see where you are going, but the actual answer is probably going to be that they support their citizens, not the corporations.

For some people, the tax rate isn't the end all be all for the quality of their life. A lot of people don't mind paying more taxes if shite actually gets done with them that gives that person a better quality of life.
Posted on 9/18/23 at 11:44 am to RLDSC FAN
Personally, I don't mind taxes if going to what they say it is supposed to go to. If our roads and bridges were all in great shape, schools, healthcare, etc I'd be fine with it. When you raise taxes and roads, schools, healthcare, more people leeching on society, then people are going to be disgruntled. If Sweden politicians take care of their people, then I'm sure it works fine there.

Now do their 'diversity score'!

yes, in America. I'm talking about in a fictional hypothetical world where giving up more of my paycheck would actually improve some things in my life. In America they would just take it and send it to Ukraine and leave me with a shitty bridge that is crumbling to drive to work over every day.
