JD is a great QB with a good arm that occasionally when rushed puts a little too much hot sauce on the pass. I've noticed that he does have issues with "dropping it in", but some of that can be the receivers fault too. I was wondering if it was a depth perception or a vision issue? Maybe get him some "Wild Thing" glasses! lol

Nuss cant break off 30 yard runs like Daniels can.

The difference is the quarterback isn’t supposed to break off 30 yard runs. He is supposed to throw the ball to the receiver in stride.

imo it's absolutely ok to say this without putting every single throw under the microscope

Agreed. It’s crazy how fiercely both sides of the “argument” is.

I mean this really deserves its own thread but no one is going to acknowledge that is a sign that Kelly is not married to Daniels if he keeps missing sure fire TD throws.

I thought it was interesting Nussmeier came In immediately to start the 2H. Could have been planned, who knows. But felt like they wanted to give him some audition time & reps

Lester, I hope you're on to something here. I saw several objectively bad JD throws and one of his moments where he had atrocious pocket presence even with everyone holding their blocks. I'm just not sure how you can go forward with that into this very difficult stretch of 5 games if he's doing that against Grambling.

Almost every throw he made was super wide open and i didn't see a single throw that made me think any different about him.

I don't care what the stats say, I knew he'd have juggernaut stats, but looking at each play individually showed some concerns for a 5th year starter.

I don’t have a side.

If they put Nuss in, I understand. If they put JD in I understand.

This team has glaring weaknesses on DL, LB and DBs. They are struggling to find a RB. They have receivers that drop passes and the best TE got hurt. We may not can field a punt

Right now we have a pretty good kicker and better than most QB play.

Our fans want to excuse away 5 TDs and scoring every possession.

We gave up damn near 300 yards to Grambling in a half of football.

but oriole celebrate the QB play when Nuss is less effective or the same throwing to the same wide open receivers

When was Nuss "less effective"? Nuss threw every single pass on the money other than one bubble screen pass. That's it.

You can also see his ball is just a better throw, it spirals better, better trajectory etc.

Daniels can't even throw a damn fade that isn't a line drive looking piece of shite throw.

This team is going to struggle on defense all year.

LSU needs to go into every game with the idea that they need to score 40+.

Maybe JD isn't that guy but last night certainly wasn't going to lose him the job. The offense hardly broke a sweat. I think they had two third downs in the first half.

Denbrock and Kelly REALLY like having JD’s running threat. I just don't see them going to Nuss unless there's an Auburn or Arkansas 2022 performance.
