I’ve got several and as long as you keep them inside in a climatized area they seem to last long enough.

One of my original RTIC’s the zipper got bad but it’s been in the elements for a long time. Have a couple Yukons, Yeti, and a Buccee’s that all seem to be doing well.

I think Yeti has a soft side cooler that has the magnets with it

Do the Rtic’s leak around the zipper?

Don’t buy an RTIC. I had a gen one that I used and abused for almost a decade. Bought a new one last year and the zipper separated the second time I used it. Apparently it’s a common issue after reading the reviews as of recent. The zipper pull broke too

I got a couple Rtic coolers. Zipper broke and they sent me a new one. Zipper separated on another but got it on track. I greased the zipper with the stuff they send and it seems fine now. I think lubing the zipper is necessary for longevity

This, on any soft side zipper. Most of them come with a small tube of lube now; they’ve learned. Just get some Sil Glyde if you run out.

Yeti.
I have one. It’s a damn good soft cooler. Holds ice all day on the beach.

Use the lube constantly (giggity). Grease it just before every use. The zipper didn’t split in the classical sense. One side of the zipper separated. Like the upper track came apart and I had tangs on both sides. When they redesigned them, this seems to be a common problem. Sucks, because it was out of warranty and they wouldn’t replace it. I bought it at a bad time and didn’t use it until the following summer.

This Engels look really nice but expensive. My FIL has a yeti and it’s a tank.

Igloo marine elite

Just bought this and love it. Especially where I can grab a beer without having to unzip it.

I bought the very first yeti bag right when they came out. I have used the shite out of them and broken the zipper 4 times

Yeti has replaced the bag free of charge 4 times and even upgraded mine when they got away from the original design.

Eventually all of them will break, but I dont know that the others will replace the coolers.

The zipper on my Rtic separated from the bag in about two years.

This. Great cooler kept the zipper lubed, but eventually came off.

I'm cheap so just another option to think about...

I have an Ozark Trail cooler backpack that I have used the last 8 years for hunting/fishing/ballparks. I put an extra insulated bag that I got from a laboratory shipment inside and it fits perfect, then I have some fancy ice packs that I also got from lab shipments, they are about the dimensions of a sheet of paper and 3/4in thick. 3-4 of those along the sides and as long as you keep it out of constant direct sun, everything stays chilly for the day.

Yeti bag with the magnetic top has been my favorite so far. Unfortunately there is known recall on them. Other than that, the Ice Mule is my second favorite.

Don’t go Yeti. The damn zipper is too hard to open & close.

While I'll agree with this. I had the original yeti softside for close to 10 years that the zipper finally started to come apart and got off track where I couldnt zip it closed. I made a warranty claim and got to pick out a new one for free last year.

I have the Engel 30. I bought it two years ago to replace a coming apart at the seams RTIC. Best money I ever spent on a soft sided cooler. It’s very well insulated and is bombproof.

All zippers leak.

Don't put blue crabs in a soft cooler.

That's all I got.

They are still on the Yeti site. I miss the shite out of the Hopper that was stolen from me. One of the best gifts I ever received.

It’s actually Ice Hole Coolers.

I bought the 18 can soft cooler. It has been great for use on my 4-wheeler: fairly priced compared to Yeti, green for hunting, has attachments loops on side for securing to rack while still allowing easy access.
